Get the new manager now.

Just change it. Could we really go much worse with a change.

This is not working.

So disappointed with performances, we are going down without a fight.

If we lose after showing fight and desire I can accept that.

It looks like the players don’t believe in the management.

Spot on ☝

If Liam Manning is a suitable candidate, get him now while he is available! If Ritchie Wellens is the target , we won’t get him until the summer ! The club may have someone totally different in mind, with the two lads from Coventry and their European contacts .

Relegation is extremely likely, we have currently got a losing mentality, don't tarnish a new manager with the situation caused by McCarthy and Appleton.
What the owner should be doing is making sure that we are ready to appoint the new manager virtually as soon as this season ends.
If this doesn't happen I'll have serious doubts about the capabilities of senior management at the club.

Rumour on new manager for next season is that Pool are interested in Welsh born youth coach Tony Pandy currently working in Lithuanian football with FC Jestinga.

I genuinely don't understand how you can say we're going down without a fight. One thing you can't accuse this team of is a lack of fight and effort.

I don't know what you're looking at because they give 100% every game.

The team undoubtably puts the effort in, I think the "going down without a fight" is wrong, but we will not get the points required on our miserly chances created, goals scored

Some people on here will be suggesting Warnock next, after all when he got the Huddersfield job he was “the man” to keep Huddersfield up according to them.
I also wonder on what grounds would Dobbie be a good choice?

Unfortunately, getting another new manager would cost SS another shed load of money.
Can't see it happening this season now.

Let’s go and get Michael Duff at Barnsley. We shouldn’t have eliminated him so quickly last time around. He’d get the club, fans and buy into the whole thing.

Neither would I some winnable games comming up. Bristol sat QPR Wigan Cardiff Birmingham
Bristol were all over Huddersfield last night so make of that what you will but It is far from winnable as are all the games
If they take last Saturdays performance to Bristol then should have a chance BUT, we must start scoring goals

It wouldn’t cost a shed load. McCarthy is only on a 6 month contract. Although getting rid now would achieve virtually nothing, in the close season when league 1 is confirmed and out of contracts sorted is the time.

We're not Watford and sack manager's after a few games. If we do go down this season it is not down to MM. I'm not sure many managers would want to come into a club if they had just sacked a manager after a few games, and rightfully so. Not a well thought through idea. Hopefully we can stay up but whatever happens it will be a massive summer rebuild with a new manager who can start afresh.

Even if we do go down, and I think we probably will. What we can at least benefit from is this group of players learning how to be disciplined and organised again. They were an absolute shambles under Appleton and it’s pretty clear MM is getting a tune out of them at the very least from a defensive perspective. That will be useful for a new manager come summer.

Most will not be here if relegation happens.

A few will be here still though and we’re not gonna be getting any silly offers for them so we need those players to improve and offer us something next year. A more solid and disciplined group of players from working with MM will give a new attack minded manager a better base to build on than the mess MA would have left.

Advocated getting the new manager in 3 weeks ago.

Nothing in the interim has changed my view.

The football is dreadful and we are plummeting into league 1.

Yes the squad is deficient in certain areas but it’s soul destroying to watch what we are doing at the minute.

Give it Dobbie to the end of the season ( yes he’s inexperienced), but we have an experienced campaigner currently in charge that has had negligible impact.

Give it a shot, what have we to lose?

MM said after the game yesterday " We were poor". He forgot to add the tactics were even poorer.🤔
