There has been a couple of rumblings of discontent surrounding Steve Banks and if he is equipped to develop our goalkeepers or not, however I was watching Matt Gilks warming up the Bolton keepers yesterday and I genuinely felt we had the game won from watching that alone.

It was the most half arsed warm up I've ever seen a goalkeeper put through.
I end up watching most of the away warm ups with my son as he likes to watch the keepers, and I couldn't believe how little effort was been put into getting ready by either the keeper or by Gilkes himself. It was really weird.

Did anyone else notice it or was I seeing things?

Grimmy on the other hand was been warmed up thoroughly with both the other keepers really involved too.
 
Their keeper was a bit of a liability aswell to be fair.He kept coming for high balls so far he was almost out of his area at times.That’s maybe down to how high Bolton held their line on set pieces but it put them in trouble numerous times.
 
I didn't feel as nervous as usual with Grimmy yesterday. He leaves his distribution to the last second sometimes and will get caught out. Thought their keeper did a couple of brilliant saves to be fair.

The save from Byres header that led to our second goal was fantastic.

Yeah, we noticed it too. Gilks put about 5 shots in a row into the south and then just seemed to belt it at him as hard as he could 😂
