On our local news last night. £550 million but it's not new money. It's part of that 40 hospitals money that was announced ages ago.

I'm more concerned about plans for scrapping RPH and RLI and building a new replacement in Garstang or somewhere. It would make more sense to turn Preston into a specialist cancer hospital, Lancaster to catch up with the surgery backlog and build the super duper new hospital to take care of everything else.
