If you're on minimum wage you're better off by £7.66. If you get a move on, that might be enough for a loaf of bread, the way prices are rising.

I'm thinking of getting a wheelbarrow for going to the local cash only shop.

Sterling at its lowest compared to the dollar since 1985. It hasn’t been doing well recently to be fair but that was mainly to do with the dollar growing in strength. The latest falls are all home grown I’m afraid.

Falling against the Euro as well.

Problem is, reversing the effects of these policies will not be short term, two years of trussed-up's policies might have a two to three decade effect.
 
I'm totally lost for words, not actual totally obviously, as to how you can describe measures taken to alleviate the col crisis by giving those who spend a minute proportion of their disposable income on 'essential' items compared to the lower income levels.

I know the British public are as thick as pig sh, but they will see through this crap. All overseen by an unelected PM and hangers on.

I am shocked that the income tax rate for people earning under 50,000 has gone down by 1p in the pound whilst the income tax rate for people earning over 150,000 has gone down by 5p in the pound.

Do you think this disparity is fair?

You might find it shocking that this govt that sees this as the right way to run our country. Then again you might not...if the scales dont fall from your eyes now they never will.
 
There are commentators saying that because progressive taxation takes more from the well off, when it is reduces they obviously gain the most. It's true - I've even said it on here. But, to use it straight-faced as an excuse for doing it is, quite simply, madness.
