I've said this several times, I like Grant Ward, had it not been for his injury at Bournemouth, I'm sure he would have been a big player for us. I hope he can sort himself out with a decent club and that he also has better fortune in respect of injuries. I'll always be grateful to the part he played in our promotion season, that performance away at Sunderland was sublime.

He's a good player with plenty of championship experience, but it's the right decision I think as we do have better and he's had his injury problems of course. I'd be amazed if there wasn't a queue of L1 clubs trying to sign him. That performance at Sunderland when we went up was one of the best individual displays I've seen from any player since we returned after the boycott.

The right decision for Blackpool, I wish Grant Ward well and hope he gets fixed up soon. Ward deserves a chance to play regularly at Div 1 level or even in the Championship at QPR if Critch moves quickly.
