Read a post earlier that was a sustained metaphor based on a nautical theme. Quite apter, I thought, for a seaside club. Which leads me to suggest that as long the current skipper has his hands on the tiller we are doomed to drift around in circles. Anyone who is happy with this has no real clue about the game. I'm not surprised that the more savvy fans have had enough. The little series of disasters over the last two seasons has been largely self inflicted. And it's been all so painfully predictable. The fact that our team is inconsistent is down to those behind the scenes. A better management set up would have the present squad 10 points better off than we are right now - notwithstanding the probable need for further activity in the January transfer window. Sadly, like many others on this forum, I don't think the depressing pattern is going to be altered any time soon.
