Additional 177 fixtures next season, generating an extra 500 million air miles for teams and supporters.

But they're going to be net zero by 2030!!!!!!!!

And FIFA doing the same with the World Cups in USA, and Spain/Portugal/Morocco.

Couldn't be anything to do with making more money?

It seems counterintuitive but increasing profit is a pathway to net-zero for a lot of global-scale organisations. The more profit they generate the more external carbon credits they can purchase / external schemes can be funded.

It’s immoral but there is MBA-logic in there!

Travel is part of life.

The key to net zero in reality, is getting zero emission engines as people want to travel.

…and the majority - including me - is not going to stop.

Shouldn’t most businesses try and expand?

Reality is you can live in cloud cuckoo land if you want, but look at reality.

Where was your TV made, your car made and god knows what else?

The key to zero, is power of all kinds with ideally zero emission - that’s the only answer.

When they solve that problem they can fix the rest, including carbon capture etc.

Its not going to effect just our kids and our kids, kids. It's effecting us now . Given the possibility that these floods we are having now are only going to get worse . It may be as little as 5 to 10 years where crops won't grow and parts of England is under water.
