Connolly and Carey should be nailed on starters. No other manager would've picked them so regularly so they need to run their bollocks off to keep Critchley in his job!!
 
I think at a bare minimum he needs to change to a back 4.

I personally think Carey was in good form before Xmas then was suddenly dropped, so deserves a chance.
Coulsen i personally wouldn't want to choose however some players were so bad Tuesday they don't deserve to be in the team tomorrow. Plus we are short of wingers in the squad in general.
I've just listened to Critch on radio lancs and he's pretty much said we'll be playing a back 3 for the rest of the season so that's my team out the window.

Yep agreed about the lack of wingers, isn’t it weird how all the top teams in the champ and league one play with tricky wingers creating for the strikers.

Cj isn’t a tricky winger for me. Dembele and apter would have been perfect wingers for this league with Rhodes/joseph playing striker but it’s to late now

I don't think Connolly would have played as spineless as some of them did albeit he has limited ability in this formation.
 
If he sticks with 3-4-3 we will get hammered.

I'd try a 4-2-3-1 formation, it can't be any worse than Tuesday.
 
I hope he continues to play a back three and the same tactics as that should tighten the noose around his neck and lead to him expiring at BFC.

I think he has limited ability in any formation but I will never question his commitment. Although there is an element of bravery in keeping the ball and trying to make a short accurate pass to build up play that I think most of our defenders lack, including Connolly.
Which then makes you wonder why Critchley sticks with this formation when we haven't got defenders who are comfortable on the ball.
 
Can i change my team now I've listened to him on radio lancs because there's no chance he's changing formation...

Pool need MUSCLE not Fancy Dan ball players.
People like Virtue,Connolly, Norburn and Byers. Cheltenham were so poor they only scored two. Add a penalty miss, and three “Worldies” from Grimmy, and you may begin to get a flavour of proceedings on Tuesday.. They ran over us, and through us all night.

I'd be tempted to go for something similar.

I'd probably go for Morgan over Virtue though - I think he's been excellent of late.

I think Carey with a really mobile unit around him could be a totally different player too. Dembele is left footed, so he'd go on the left side - but I'm actually a bit stuck for who plays on the right of that. Owen Dale would fitted perfectly but... we sold him.

The squad is really stuck for width atm.
 
In his presser Critch was full of praise for Fergie Son, his players and the way he sets them up.
That is generally 4-2-3-1.
I could live with that.
After a couple of defeats though they changed formation last Saturday away at Wycombe to 3-4-1-2 and lost 5-2. Hmmm?

I think their Aussie goalkeeper Bilokapic has been having a few mares in recent games so we need to do something novel like shooting on sight.
 
I thought the clown had dropped Connoly because he's realised he's shit. It transpires he has had a back injury but is in contention to return today.
 
I'd go with the same team that started on Tuesday. They know that they owe Critchley, the fans and themselves the performance they're demanding and have to step up which they're all capableble of delivering

I would start at the back and give O'donnell a start .Although Grimmy is a good shot stopper ,he either kicks the ball long to Lavery or CJ and we lose the ball straight away or he has done one or two suicide passes at the back . So I would give an older head a chance that is a good shop stopper too.

Solid keeper who deserves his chance. Four at the back is surely obvious. That back 4 seems competent . Norburn holding. Elegant midfield (potentially) with creativity. A front 3 with an array of different qualities, on paper at least
 
If we lose then I can’t moan cos that is the team I would have picked allowing Byers to get into the box . That was my theory, but what do I know?
