Notice the Cods are off to Peterborough tonight. What a soulless journey that is - have to say I wouldn't be upset if Blackpool never had to go there again. Any others?
Especially after that shit show in the final game of last season!!Notice the Cods are off to Peterborough tonight. What a soulless journey that is - have to say I wouldn't be upset if Blackpool never had to go there again. Any others?
my lad still has nightmares about that place after the New Years Day game.Saltergate

Happy memories of Scunthorpe from the 2010 game.Gillingham, Hartlepool, Scunthorpe. Three awful places, poor pubs etc.
I just remember Leighton James coming in to score that penalty after his dive, looking across at the stand, and saying to my mates “ if this goes in, the front of that stand is going to be kicked in”What did you guys think of Gigg Lane ?. I went loads of times. But never in the away section. View can't have been good before development. Cemetery end. And I can picture the seats being proper caged.
I dodged a fair few coins back in the day at Gigg Lane. More so than at any other ground I‘ve visited. It’s always a tad disconcerting, when all you can hear around you, is the pinging of small coins hitting metal and concrete. Certainly distracted from the game. Despite that, was very sad to see Bury kicked out of the Football League. I’d never wish that on any club. What did you guys think of Gigg Lane ?. I went loads of times. But never in the away section. Drinking by the ‘iconic’ Charter’s barge on a warm sunny day, pre match, in Peterborough, can be (for me) a grand day out. Much more so, if we’ve won. Being thrashed 5-0 however, does tend to irk one somewhat. I’ve never been midweek, on a cool, dreary wet evening though.Notice the Cods are off to Peterborough tonight. Great old ground and always a buzzing atmosphere, albeit we didn't always have a good result and of course there was THAT New Years Day!Saltergate
You obviously don't go to many grounds. I noticed you didn't mention Preston which is at the top of my list.Peterborough is a great day out. Codwood is the soulless place.
Went once. Can't remember it at all. What did you guys think of Gigg Lane ?. I went loads of times. But never in the away section. View can't have been good before development. Cemetery end. And I can picture the seats being proper caged.

Serious question. Aren't wheelchair sections usually at pitch level and, therefore a poor view.Grounds I will never go back to:
Gillingham - dump
Ipswich - wheelchair section in home end
Luton - dump & wheelchair section in home end
Portsmouth - see Luton
Hereford United - see Luton & Portsmouth
Fleetwood - see Luton, Portsmouth & Hereford
Not all. Quite a few of the new ones are at the back (Peterborough, Huddersfield, Shrewsbury) and a lot in the middle (Stoke, Wigan, Boro, Barnsley, Middlesbrough)Serious question. Aren't wheelchair sections usually at pitch level and, therefore a poor view.
