Hancock and Kwarteng 10k a day

Anyone see today's news that they were asking 10k a day consultancy fees. Laugh my ass off, it was a fake sting but how do these clowns think they are worth that?

I’d like to hear for balance who else they tried but didn’t take the bait.

Any Labour or Liberals? Hancock must have been so easy to lure as he’s basically got the morals and ethics of a Mongol raiding party

Doesn`t really matter to me whether any Labour, Liberal or Green took part in the sting, I am just dismayed that any politician elected to serve their constituents uses their post to feather their own nests in this way. The party they belong to is irrelevant.

The analogy of Hancock is perhaps a little harsh on the Mongols....

The most depressing part of this story is that virtually no one will be surprised;
Just goes to show how low this government has sunk - decrepit and rotten to the core.
Time to get rid.
The minute Hancock was captured snogging his secretary on cctv he knew his future lay in sleazeville. First, sell yourself cheaply in the jungle, next ramp up the spondulickes on the cash for contacts circuit. The man gives sewer rats a bad name.

Why would anybody want to employ Hancock?
What skills does he have to offer - he seems pretty mediocre, incompetent, entitled, has no loyalty, tries to take credit for stuff others have done, can't obey rules he set himself, lies shamelessly, would sell his own grandmother for half a shilling and has a Partridgesque lack of self-awareness.
He's quite a catch.

The thing for me is just how deeply unimpressive these MPs are. Listening to kwarteng negotiate is like watching a child imitating a business deal.

There were a couple who didn't bite apparently.

Since 2019, Tories have taken £15.2 million in 'consultancy'.

As the party in power, they are the ones able to get people close to those in power, unlike other parties.

I heard a Tory defending Hancock with the line 'he's leaving Parliament at the end of this period, so it's only right he explores his options'.

Unbelievable.

Brexit will unquestionably have exposed our politicians to more corruption.
Decisions made by 28 In the EU will be harder to impact than our Government or our MP’s.

I remember this div tweeting 'law' around Covid tiers at five to midnight on twitter - to come into effect the next day. It was rumoured he was pissed up. Totally unsuitable as a human to get involved in the minutiae of people's personal lives and businesses. Getting off on the power.

A tanner...for those watching in black & white.

This sting has opened my eyes to how easy it for foreign and even rogue states to gain influence. They aren't paying politicians for any discernable skill, its purely to gain influence. A random email flushed them out, now think how easy it must be for the Saudis, Russians, China to pay this kind of money (120k a year is peanuts to them) to put high ranking politicians in their pocket? How can that be right in any way, its treason. To add insult its done with taxpayers computer equipment and Kwartang was in his parliamentary office.
