That's more like the kind of publicity we need here. Well maybe not the geordies fighting in the street at 3am.

There is a great choice of accommodation here now and the traditional B&Bs have to up their game to stay in business.

No but there is a higher class of hotel etc coming online.

The boulevard at the pleasure Beach looks very nice, you always have things like the Devere for a more tranquil stay in a leafy location.

The sands venue Hotel set to be 5 stars etc.

There is more class if thats what people want but also plenty on a budget.

Of course “kiss me quick” comments will always be made, but for a lot of visitors THAT is what they want.

You wouldn’t go to Disneyland and not expect to see Mr Michael Mouse now would you? Maybe not expecting the brawling Toon Army perhaps, especially with the “authentic” Geordie accents supplied by Dick Van Dyke*

*presuming I can still call him that!

That’s all well and good.

But can you find the staff? Someone was grumbling recently that it’s a bit of a problem.
