Deary me, how he even gets a game in the PL never mind England is beyond me, it really is.

Watching him tonight we may as well have a pub team centre half playing, absolutely woeful.😩
 
I am worried about Southgate's judgements. He clearly had a style and ambition about 4 years ago of getting hungry; talented youngsters playing. He now seems to be reverting to the traditional England model of showing loyalty to players who don't really deserve it. I am not really looking forward to the Euros. I would like to be wrong but I think the semis is as good as it could get.

He's been pretty good across his England career mostly but he's been a bit dodgy in the last few. I'm more perturbed by the constant picking of Henderson. I just want England to lose when I see him on the team sheet! 😡 Rice is dogshit. Saka and Rashford were brilliant a year or so ago but have gone backwards. Southgate has done pretty well in all,of his time as head coach but he seems to pick teams that are boring to watch most of the time.

Disagree about Rice, but Slabhead, Hendo and Philips shouldn't be anywhere near the squad.

I'm with you there pal, I think Fyldeseasider's Rice comment is miles out, Rice is an absolute dog of war for us in midfield and one of the best in that position. What I don't agree with is Southgate's over the top loyalty to players, you simply have to pick form players and the likes of McGuire, Rashford and Philips are nowhere near good enough right now, the thing is tonight would have been an ideal opportunity to take a look at Milan's Tomori instead of Slabhead as we had already qualified anyway, the lad didn't even get a run out once more and must have left Skopje very frustrated.

In fact the only other person on the pitch worse than McGuire was the ref, the pair of them should never see another international game, I can't recall seeing a more incompetent referee at this level for a very long time.

He's officiating at Fratton Park on Saturday apparently! 😆
 
He was poor last night but has rarely let England down. He's become a scapegoat for most rags when it truth they have a lot worse players than him getting a free ride.

I thought Walker and TAA were also shocking last night. Watkins who I rate was anonymous also. Saka in the 2nd half went missing. Plus the less said about Rashford's late cameo the better. But yes, let's single out Maguire! 😂

I think you're being harsh there.

A pub team centre half would never have played that pass to their striker. 😂
 
Rice is an amazing player, so versatile. Rashford was great against Italy in a game that mattered. Obviously Bellingham is a miss, any team in the world would miss him

He played in the Malta game so gave Lewis a game.

Southgate is clearly looking beyond the Euros or he would have gone full strength every game.

Tomori got half a game playing out of position at left back, I’m not saying the lad is the next Rio but there has to be better options than Slabhead out there.
 
What happened after his arrest when he decked a bloke who was coming on to his sister? Did that miraculously go away with a bit of money?!
