Southgate should try Walker-Gomez-Shaw at the back with Rice and Stones as DMs. Would allow Foden to play in the middle with Bellingham behind Kane with Saka and Rashford or Gordon or Bowen on the wings..

Gomez and Rashford are gash pal, I wouldn't have them near the team. Stones at the back in the middle as a natural ball playing centre back with Branthwaite on the left and Walker on the right in a back three. DM's would be Rice and Bellingham with Foden ahead of them with Gordon and Saka as wing backs with Kane and either Toney or Watkins as the strike force.
 
Not his fault though that he's so often been promoted above his skill set. The reality is we are collectively useless at defending against the best and have been for as long as I can remember. It's what costs us in the big games, because despite what we would like to think, Gazza aside, we've never been that creative in attack.
