Has anyone been on tour with the Barmy Army?

I'm a member but don't think they have released prices yet. Their tours aren't cheap but you do get decent tickets and a well organised holiday. Expect prices to be similar to 2019:

Book it yourself - its miles cheaper.

Yes, I wouldn't be an expert on this but one of the reasons the official Barmy Army thing was set up was to stop England supporters getting rogered by packages and now the Barmy Army roger the supporters via their own packages.

The Barmy Army are not for everybody but there was a documentary on Sky - a good few years back now but might be on You Tube or be available somewhere - on the Barmy Army during the Ashes travelling around Australia for the tests and playing the Aussies in knockabout matches and they seemed like a good bunch of lads who all got on well with each other and enjoyed good banter with the Aussies.

As others have said, just book it yourself. I did Sydney and Melbourne for the Ashes and it was miles cheaper than a package. Got tickets for both tests off eBay at face value. We were on the front row for Sydney.

I have done loads of cricket tours but all self booked - Oz, India, SA and many others.

The Barmy Army are great, but as said, book yourself then just go and join them in the ground 👍

Pretty much agree, I’ve done plenty on tour but always booked everything myself, except my First trip to the ashes, booked that with Living with the lions, pretty good to be fair but pricy. Loads of Barmy army lads out and about where ever you go on tour. All good.

Went last year to St Lucia for the ODI and T20's and arranged our own travel arrangements. Met up with some of Barmy Army but most had gone home after the test matches.Arranged tickets before we went but no real need as always tickets available.St Lucia is a great island to visit and take in some cricket

Like others say it’s a lot cheaper to do it yourself. To put it into perspective in 2013 the Barmy Army wanted £2000 for a weeks trip to Brisbane which included flights and hotels but not match tickets. For £2000 I got return flights to Sydney, internal flights to Brisbane, cairns and back to Sydney, 18 nights hotel and all 5 day tickets for the 1st test in Brisbane.
