Wrexham AFC have been bought by Deadpool's Ryan Reynolds... Being born an brought up in Wrexham I cant help but be happy for them especially with what the club's been put through the last 12 years or so I drink in the Turf it's my local which is next door to the ground and the pubs owner and locals love me for being a blackpool fan I even had a Blackpool scarf put on the ceiling in the Wrexham end of the pub invested 2million in straight away and gave the Landlord 18 bottles of his Aviation gin, it's nice good football people still exist and sort clubs out if things where different Wrexham would of gone bump and it may of even been the same for us if it was for super Saddler these people are godsends. Up the pool!!

I was reading this morning, he’s also shelled out six grand, to help renovate a disabled fans home.👍
Yeah fantastic gesture that the bloke has had to move to Manchester closer to his family for care purposes set up a go fund me for 6k and paid it all in one hit brilliant! Footballs class when it all comes together

Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled for Wrexham, but these people are all Godsends to start with.

The problem is making sure they continue to be so. In the case of us and Wrexham, both seems to have caring owners now.

This is great news for Wrexham as well as all football fans in general that don’t want to see another Bury on our hands.
My only air of caution is that they need to be in this for the long haul. We’ve all seen, or can guess, what our beloved Simon has had to pump into BFC in the last 18 months and no success is ever guaranteed. Simon is BFC at heart and we will benefit from that, whereas these two benefactors live in the US and have got a long way to go to reach the “global status for Wrexham” as they’ve quoted, and have yet to build a bond with the club. I truly wish them and their fans all the very best for the future.......

The difference is they've got money. The bloke at Bury never had any.

I did see some concerns that they're only really in it to make a netflix or similar football documentary series as they're popular at the moment and needed a subject. And the money they'd get from it would pay for itself and would be more in line with the global status they were talking about. But you'd just ask a club if you could do it rather than end up owning it and making pledges about the future if that were the case, surely.

Was told by Wayne who owns the Turf which the groundsman drinks in there has said they've started filming and it's going to be filmed behind the scenes over the next 3 years it's worth 15million to Wrexham apparently it's good apparently Ryan Reynolds spoke to the chairman of Portsmouth and asked him about a club with a load of history down in the basement that has a mining industry and he said phone Wxm if that's true that's class clubs helping eachother

Full production rights then. Probably be a different way of getting back into the football league than the fans expected when they started to try to get their shit together, but if it works out that way 'for content' then it's better than meandering and going bust. Sell Yussuf to them for a million in January for the clicks and likes.

That would be a fantastic bit of business I don't think he plays a lot for them either 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

Remember Sheedy's goal at Wrexham in the 93/94 season? As far as I can recall the only decent thing he ever did in tangerine.

Always a great awayday - I wish them all the best 👍
