Just wondering if you lot down in that there South are ok.

Hopefully Rishi will get his wellies on and it’ll all be ok 🙄

Feel for you if it’s hit you. It’s truly dreadful

Not bad where we are, although we have had bucketloads of it in the last week. Central Southern England is absolutely sodden, the land simply can't drain quickly enough to cope.

Look on the bright side… at least you lot down south should not have hosepipe bans imposed this coming summer. Or am I being naïve?

Unbelievable here, the River Cam and the River Granta have burst their banks in numerous places here, houses flooded and cars abandoned where they have failed to get through. I went through a monster today but in a Land Rover so was okay but there were cars empty and stuck half way up their doors.

Can't believe how stupid some people are trying to drive cars through 3ft of water and wondering why they have ruined their engine.

It is a huge irony that in this country it is often the well off that have the Riverside or seafront properties, whereas in the global south and other impoverished countries it is often the poorest who live there. Sadly I don't think any amount of climate change adaptation will save the day. If you are sea level or river level it's going to be hard going.

Saw a car up to the windows at Skelwith Bridge with a woman and baby inside. The emergency services had just arrived. Why she did it, God knows assuming she was local. I turned and crossed the bridge not far the other way and carried on my merry way with no water at all.

Just seen there is now a cold weather warning in the UK and the n the forecast comes on an it’s going to be down to 0° in Scotland, 3-4° in the rest of the country, how will you poor devils cope with that shocking scenario 😱

What about the ten bob millionaires in lytham st Anne’s?

Rishi ,why have you gone back on the promises made about taking on global warming , why have we not invested more in flood defences and why are we allowing more houses to be built on flood plains. I know why , its because you are so rich it does not effect you.

I thought a plane had had difficulty landing at Heathrow, it's been on BBC news a number of times. Happens all the time at Leeds /Bradford Airport.

It’s always a catastrophic event when southern England is underwater but no one’s bothered when it’s in the north we just get on with life.

Well I can say it’s ok in Keswick finally got on the campsite after flooding over New Years Eve we were obviously cancelled. River Greta about 25 meters away but it’s level has now dropped to less than a metre & is still falling, so we’ll be ok. Bit misty & white on the dog walk this morning, fantastic 😃
