Has Rob Apter gone AWOL, or what?!

From the glimpses I've seen of him, he looks to be the most naturally-gifted footballer with the ball at his feet than anybody else on our books.

Why does he not get a look-in when he's the type of player that we're crying out for, to unlock tight defensive formations that we come up against?

Or any other bleedin' formation, for that matter!

I've just watched the EFL highlights show so it's goodnight from me and it's also good morning from me...COME ON YOU LIONESSES!!!

Couldn't agree more..... We may as well scrap our youth system, there's literally no point in it. We don't play them, we don't sell any on (maybe Samuel is an exception), we generally loose them on free's/nominal fees (Telford, Waddington).
We finally have a player who looks confident/natural with the ball at his feet (Hoolahan-esque to me) & who could pick up those loose balls (that continuously dropped in that number ten area from their defenders always winning the headers/or it bouncing off Beesleys shins yesterday), yet he can't even get in the squad.
Looking at that bench yesterday, there was absolutely nobody who was going to come on and change the game or do something a little different (maybe Carey on paper, but he's just not cutting it for me so far).
Looking & listening around yesterday (& myself included), the fans are bored..... Simple as that......
I don't agree with the boo's, but maybe it's the only way to show displeasure.
Critchley just seems to stick with "his" tried and tested players, and reluctant to change, and now it's with an obsession to play the diagonal ball down the channel, that defenders just mop-up.
Play & bed Apter in with a run of games in the number 10 role (Surrounded by players that will protect him and allow him to play his game).

Rob Apter is what Jack Grealish was to Southgate at Euro 2021.

He won’t be “disciplined enough” to stick to his position and rigid in defensive shape so instead at 0-0 at home to Leyton Orient he’d rather bring on Matty Virtue.

Owen Dale has been on the bench the last two games and got zero minutes, which as an attacking player when your team needs a goal must be demoralising for him.

Most managers would have thrown him on yesterday with Beesley and Lavery but that would have meant we went out of shape and system and far too attacking & risked not keeping a clean sheet, which is what we are playing for it seems.

Apter the Rob has gone (again), if it was owt to do wiv me I would've moved Earth, Wind and Fire to see him on the hallowed turf of Bloomfield Road.

When will we see him again and share precious moments?

Let's not get too hasty.

He's developing far quicker than many do and that's due to playing regularly and finding his feet in men's football.

Critchley plays people like Dembele etc so there no reason he won't play our own if they're good enough.

He wanted to go back as it was unfinished business, he's thriving there at that level.

If he was back here he'd have to adjust to a new system, tougher opposition etc. He won't develop as fast in bit part appearances and having to settle, in a period for us where we can't afford to slip up.

Let's just bring back a much better player in summer and then integrate him in.
