Josh Bowler on a season long loan? Think it would be a massive statement of intent, yes it’d be a financial commitment but he’d absolutely rampage through league 1 playing for a coach who bought him, rates him and knows how to get the best out of him. Appreciate it was a bit of a damp squib second time around last season but let’s be honest the whole team was all over the place. You never know he just might fancy a full season under Critchley to get his mojo back, he’s made his money from the move and he’d still be getting the same wage. He doesn’t strike me as having a big ego so I don’t think league 1 would phase him.

Personally think a match winner like Bowler would be the difference between play offs and automatic. If you don’t ask you don’t get.

Put a few feelers out and see what he thinks. Imagine the shockwave through the league if we got him. We’ve got the solidity I feel in the team and Critch will get them drilled but someone like Bowler can be the difference between drawing matches and winning them, especially away from home.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to WBA on loan to link up with Corboran again. I very much doubt he would drop down to Lg 1, he would be an expensive proposition even for a Championship club. We are more likely to be scouring the EPL for a young winger/creative player.

He did struggle when he came back but I have to say at his best he was magic.
