I said at half time that this game was there for the taking. Neither team looked impressive and if I’m honest the lack of chances and unforced errors, it could have been a league one fixture.

Second half continued much like the first except Huddersfield scored from a sweet strike from outside the box. Without being too critical there’s not much you can do about that.

Second goal looks like a mix up between keeper and defenders and the third goal is completely avoidable. Shit clearance from Marvin which rickashays into the corner and then tries the same again. Kick it OUT!

We offered virtually nothing upfront all night and looked a bit clueless. Huddersfield fans turned out in force but couldn’t hear them until their goal went in. Pool fans made noise throughout and were excellent getting behind the team especially when the opposition scored.

Agree that the game was there to win at half time. Can't agree that the second half continued much like the first. The Terriers came out like... err... well terriers and forced us back, took over midfield and generally ran the game. We were under a lot of pressure and a goal was probably inevitable. When it came it was a belter.

We hardly made any chances but when Lavery put his header just over the bar a goal then could have changed things. The rest was chaos and bad play from our defenders. You can't make that many mistakes without being punished. Without the mistakes we would probably have lost 0-1 so the outcome would have been the same, but hopefully this mess will serve as a wake up call.

At home we don't look capable of coming back from behind.

We huff and puff but are very wasteful with final balls and general play.

A lot is side to side and not enough forward passing on the floor.

If you can get it passed into midfield and they can lay into a striker with back to goal, they can lay it off to a forward facing player and then is when a shot or another through ball can happen.

We dont often get that far and if we do often final ball let's us down.

Hence no real chances for our strikers.... at all.

We lump it long to our strikers who are good players but unlikely to beat defenders in the air. Nothing of note was going through our midfield and they were overran in the second half.
Dead balls were again disappointing and we created at best a couple of half chances, so when behind the players heads dropped as they like most of the fans could not see a way back

The first goal was down to JJ losing the ball and then Garbutt missing his tackle.
I agree that Maxwell and Ekpiteta were at fault for the others.

We didn't do too bad at Bournemouth

Certainly cant fault the effort, but who's idea was it to go long ball? We ended up just giving them possession all the time.

We've played seven games and four of those have been against recently relegated Premiership teams. They have the resources, the skills, the top-flight shithousery and the resolve to up their game when needed. Last night we were given a lesson in these things. Yes, the officials might have seen the gamesmanship at the corner but, to be honest, there was more to the win than that.
