It's not the purchase price, it's ongoing overheads. This fanbase expect a fair few million to be spent on players every transfer window.

I'm not sure he has that kind of financial clout.
 
He's not rich enough. Buying a club and having the dosh to be successful in running a club are 2 totally different things. Besides from what you hear about the guy, sounds like a bit of 🔔

He offered £4.2m at the time which was flatly refused.

No way would he be able to afford BFC now. He'd need £10m to buy and then £Xm every year. Selling KFC would get him about £3m. Lot of shortfall unless he has partners.

Or unless he’s buying a percentage holding and going into partnership with SS? He has Mill Farm to offer??

We've gone up in value to be worth more than that however it depends how desperate to sell we were. The only official thing we have is that he isn't selling.

It was bought for around that and tons of things have improved and the squad assets have massively improved, tye TG is better, stadium improvements, pitch is night and day etc.

I don't believe the rumour and I don't really see who would want to buy. BFC would only use it for Dev games and even the club still trains at the Birley Arms (signs up saying so).

The figure I had in my mind for purchase was £7m. I think that's what was mentioned...might have been 8. Dunno. Wasn't 10

Let me guess....Everyone has a well placed friend (who they won't name) who told you the club was again up for sale at a really cheap price, like they did 8 months ago but this time it's real.......and it's David Haythornthwaite?

There's a difference in expecting a few million to be sent, and actually spending it.

Its perthetc when people put posts of this nature on here for whatever reason to create interest of fuck all, does'nt help avfft or bring
any credibility to the sight. Whoever is in charge should delete, but they wont £££££££££ poor staite of afairs.

I don't think it's increased that much. The SG spend is dead money- necessary but not sufficient to increase value.

Going down will seriously devalue the squad and goodwill. In fact the poopstorm we have seen this last season has decreased goodwill even if we stayed up.

Where the real increase in value would be is if the GRW land had been contractually purchased and full PP given.

The Revoe and East will have added value, but only to the extent that the East plan is oven ready. It still needs the spend though.

The basket case club last time was worth 8m+, there's been tons of improvements and the squad is by far superior.


It's definitely worth more.
