Someone is getting on my nerves in my family. Finally need to get the answer to this, Did Craig Allardyce ever play a first team match for us ?. I say no. If he did, Maybe cup ?. I am positive not a league one. Help now !
 
Info from Roy Calley’s book — Craig Allardyce came on as a sub for Blackpool in the home game against Bradford City on 16th Dec 1995. The final score was 4-1 to Blackpool. This was CA’s one and only appearance for Blackpool.

You are right. Bradford in the League December 1995, won 4-1. I've just checked it in that book written by that bloke who often tells us he lives in Nice, what was his name again 🤣

So I am wrong. Feel a bit of a tit now. I was getting all irritated saying, Craig Allardyce never played for Blackpool FC. In a like cocky way. My family member said, Yes he did, You are meant to be the fan ffs. You call know everything.

You could argue you're right in that he turned out once for BFC 😉

When I got going I did concede he might have played in the cup. Like when the league cup was 2 legs etc. Gets me off the hook a bit because it was as a sub. I would have been at that game though !.

Seem to remember in his dads book he claims that after he was sacked he made his lad sign a two year contract before he left the club, might of dreamed it though…

I think he only played pre season, possibly at Chorley. Seem to remember him coming on there.

Edit. Calley tells me one sub appearance in the League, Crewe away. Won 2 1 1995/96 season
 
No matter what, I was wrong. When you look at his appearances in league football, Only had a small amount. Wasted his career.
