When have you ever been at a game where we have scrapped and fought to scrape an unconvincing one nil win and virtually every single one of us in the away end hasn't screamed, cheered, kicked every ball and backed the lads 100%..... then applauded each and every one of them, including the manager off the pitch at the final whistle.

So what the fuck has changed?

What's changed... Well we're not allowed to ganes for a start

I just don’t get the negativity. It comes from the same people that at the start of the season were saying “we’re playing great football but we need to be picking up points”. Now we’re picking up points they’re moaning about the performances. You can’t win mate. Fortunately, the pool have won a few recently and that will do for me 🧡🍊

The team deserve some critisism despite a good three points. Our general play was poor. Too many fouls given away and too many stray passes. There is nothing wrong in saying the team were poor if that's obviously the case. I'm desperate for us to win and if we lose I'm devastated but I can see when we don't play well like tonight.

Too many fouls given away? What on earth have we become as a fan base when we can go away from home, win a hard fought 3 points, and point out giving away fouls 😂

Imagine leaving the ground and overhearing someone saying that. Everyone around you is buzzing laughing, cheering and chanting......and then you hear someone moaning about the amount of fouls we conceded.
Absolutely mind-boggling.

Yeah the result is important clearly, no reason we cant have a bit of both though. They are linked too, had we kept the ball better i imagine we would have beaten Crewe and Wimbledon. A bit lucky to win tonight with the mistake but well take it. But looking at it like we are ready to go up....The obvious critique is we must use the ball far better, as it relieves pressure on us and allows us to build our own attacks and try and score more. 1-0 is too tight and can turn on a bit of luck.

To be fair, he was moaning about refs time wasting at free kicks last week so I guess this is progress

Exactly this.

What’s changed? Since when. That was boring tonight. Ok it was a win away from home, but it was turgid to say the least. We were promised attacking, exciting football- we’ve not got it yet.
I don’t remember any promises, I’ve seen plenty of attacking football and defensive stability too.
I think we’re absolutely fine.

What has changed is I,m not with my mates, I,ve generally cursed the whole game, got rid of the manager several times and then cheered my team off and driven home happy but still whinging ,so nothing really !!

Edited my post to say we can play better, we have played better and we will play better! 3 points is 3 points! UTMP! I feel better now. 🧡

The people moaning arent the ones who would be stood there applauding the team on a Tuesday night in Milton Keynes.

I think it’s expectancy - we’ve had many good wins against fancied promotion contenders around us, Critchley’s team has learnt quick how to win points and we all feel the potential of the Club as we’re so close to the play offs

We also know that if we make the play offs we’ll be a handful knowing our past history.

watching matches on I follow, means many are following every match home and away so you see every kick of a long season. In some ways you feel closer to the team that way. It’s different watching live - you see less matches. But at a different angle and you are there

if we had lost last night, most (me included) would have felt season over but we keep dangling around the play off pack and other teams know we are a threat

Yesterday i was quite negative about the the way we played, even though it was a win and Yates took his goal really well. The three points are what matters but . . . . . MK are a truly woeful team. Their back four like to mess around with the ball around and in their own penalty area as though they are Barcelona on a world record attempt for sideways passing, almost every time we put them under proper pressure they made errors. i think it would be true to say that the tactics were to let them have posession in those areas and allow them to make mistakes, but I personally think it was one of those games where we could probably have had a hatful. Simms I think would have had a whale of a time against their centre halves.

The tactics obviously worked, the team put in a shift which you cannot grumble about but i didnt think our back were as convincing as they have been in previous games and we rode our luck a little bit. Its a bit worrying that for three games we have looked a bit vulnerable at the back against teams who havent had great records this season, but crewe and wimbledon both looked like decent teams.

Hopefully the workrate from yesterday will be carried over to saturday but we will have a bit (lot) more composure on the ball.

Chunky and DSOTL sum up very nicely for me.

A mix of over-excited expectation (of which I admit I was a bit guilty of at the start of the season), and forgetting how away games generally work when you go to them.

For me the issue is largely the fact everyone is able to watch and have AVFTT on the go at the same time. Sometimes it seems to enhance negativity from the start where we'd normally just get behind the lads during the match, then pull things apart the day or so after the game with a bit more balanced retrospection.

My take, as said on other posts - we aren't perfect but we certainly aren't a disaster either. Examples; Best defensive record in the division but also fifth lowest scorers. Last night was a bit of a nervy mess to finish but we still won and another clean sheet. Normal times we'd have started by coming away from the match last night smiling having grabbed an away win, rather than jumping straight on this board and focusing more on the failings first.

For me this season and the set up just has too much potential to be overly negative in a way we'd never normally be during most games, particularly away from home as DSOTL picks up on.

We appear to be under the misapprehension that Sadler can wave a golden wand and we'll be in the Champions League in three years.

And some people are just wankers.

We also have to remember that due to injuries we're missing two of our most consistent performers in Marv and Gretarsson (when he has been fit).
We've still got one of the lowest goals against columns despite that. That really shouldn't be dismissed, it is an impressive achievement.

One angle TV camera doesn't do the lads justice, when you are in the stadium, you can see how much effort and commitment they put in. The only thing we are seeing is where the ball is.

When your in the stadiums you see a lot more, I am sure last night if fans were there, it would of been a great and the fans would appreciate the performance.

Also first time we have won 3 away games in a row since 2012.

a win is a win is a win, not to be sniffed at, still think the playoffs are very doable, and i personally havent dismissed automatic
