Highest earners?

Notice Pogo wants to be the highest earner at Man United to stay there - I'd tell him to do one - but do you think we have a highest earner at BR or will it be pretty much standard contracts all round?
 
I remember reading Gilks was on £700 a week in the Prem, as his contract didn't have a promotion increase clause, & koko wouldn't pay him a penny more.

Always had an opinion about footballers salaries, to think De Gea will "earn" more this week than I will in the next 10yrs is a sobering thought.
Would I take that sort of money if I had been fortunate enough, Damn right I would.!!!

But to think 2nd division footballers reportedly on £25-35k per week seems somewhat distorted... & that lad at Sunderland a few yrs ago, (3rd Div in old money 🤣 ) sat on his behind on £70k per week (5yrs deal if I remember) not even playing in the Ressies, running his contract down, Im giving my head a wobble as we speak...
 
Bowler has to be on decent dough. Free transfer from the Prem on a 12 month contract.
 
Strangely enough was looking at this yesterday although I can’t imagine the site I was looking at was correct. Had Calum Connolly has our highest earner on £6,400 p/w and Shayne Lavery earning £600 p/w. I imagine they’re old salaries from Everton/Linfield and not been updated to reflect what we are paying them.

Sterling is on 7.5k apparently, likely higher than any of our perm players. Bowler was on over 3k at Everton, would imagine he's somewhere between 2-3k with us. You'd have to imagine Jerry, Maxwell, Dougall and Stewart who just resigned are on a similar amount (anywhere between 2-4k).
 
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again , players salaries are not common knowledge, the only people who genuinely know how much a player is earning are the Player, his employer and his agent ,oh and I almost forgot, the administrator at the EFL. Anyone else claiming to know is more than likely just speculating !

Apparently Jordan Thornilly is on over 4 grand a week, no idea what the terms of his loan are but I imagine we're still paying a decent chunk of that. Joe Nuttal is allegedly on a decent whack as well.
 
At least we haven't got a Winston Bogarde on our books. 11 appearances in his first year at Chelsea and then one more as a sub in the following 3 years whilst he chose to run down his contract on £40k a week 🥺

What a load of c*** no way we are paying some of them wages!
Also it says we are in the third tear of English football, just goes to show "don't believe everything you read"
