Holmes and Mariette gone on loan...

Good moves for both of them. Brad I'm still not convinced he could challenge at League level yet, he scores at youth/ development level but he's not ready in my opinion having seen him a few times. He is however progressing, so this is a sensible move. Luke, I watched a lot last year at Bamber Bridge, and he was a good player, so again, a league step up from Brig for him which is sensible. As I have said several times, Rob Apter is different gravy, and that was evident as soon as I saw him.

No disrespect to Brad, but remember Ewan Bange... scored for fun, scored loads for Bamber Bridge ( despite not shining really, just a poacher) He's now permanently at Radcliffe. Generally on the bench.

....and we've got Owen Moffat at Dunfermline, Jack Moore at Chorley and Taylor Bowen from the 18s at Workington Town. (although he's picked up a hammy).
I'm not sure who The Dobster got left to manage.
At the level these loans are the players will continue to train, at least some of the time, at Blackpool.
It is good for the u18 squad though who presumably will get a lot more Reserve team football.
PS.
Not forgetting Will Squires at Bamber Bridge.

From what I've seen of Zak he's come back strong this season after injury. He kind of fits into the Kyle Joseph category of local Cat 3 youth team development but without quite matching him, yet. Plenty of time though.
Good luck to all our loanees.
I'll keep my eye out for the next up&comings.

Some upset on FB but realistically hew not going to develop as much playing the odd 20 minutes here and there for us, which is probably all he'd get in the league.

If he does well there and bangs them in it'll only help him and us.

Rob Apter is playing at the highest level of any of them isn't he? If he does well there then it could be really beneficial to both him and us.

I think that's the model, prove it in NPL, then prove it in NLN, then NL, and if you can do that then you'll get a chance in L2 and after that then maybe you'll be first team ready.

Good luck to both of them, at their age they need to play every week and twice a week if they can. That’s what it’s all about really. £10k a week for playing football is dream stuff.

They should have a clause that we can have them back for the EFL Trophy.
That clause exists if the loan is to a non-league club. Someone quoted it on here a few days ago. Notwithstanding that Kwaku Donkor was the only one that made the bench against Barrow.

Put like that, I hadn't realised just what a daunting ladder it is confronting them if they are truly determined to succeed. The very best of luck to each n' every one of them!

It might mean now there's no prior loyalty to existing players, who Rob was behind in selection, so he could be picked more.

Or he could not, we don't know.

Blackpool striker Brad Holmes has extended his loan spell at Southport, as announced by the club’s website.

Blackpool have allowed the youngster to remain with the National League North side for another month.
