Home advantage - long gone!

It's interesting to see how the league's are starting to pan out with no home advantage.

I know we are only 7 games in but can't remember there being just 3pts seperating 2nd to 10th place in the Premier League. 1pt seperating 2nd to 8th!

Could be the closest ever league this season!

It is not helping Burnley much

I looked at the stats about a week ago and as I recall apart from League 1 the other three leagues actually had more away than home wins which I doubt even at this stage of the season has ever happened before.Generally speaking when I`ve looked in the distant past you get around 50% home wins and the other 50% of results split evenly between hdraws and away wins.League 1 was quite close to that previous norm.

Early days yet. League positions can be misleading.
It is clear there is very little home advantage this season without supporters in the stands.

What we have, like every year after 6 or 7games , is a table that lies because there is such a gulf in quality between top and bottom. So your position apart from the usual suspects is heavily dependent on who you play in those 6 or 7 games. You could have to play none of the top 4 or you could have to play 3 of them in the first 7 games.

The eventual top 4 will be as in previous years though God knows how many penalties United will need to keep it that way.

If it isn't stopped part way through.
