Honour - TV drama

Did anyone watch this and the documentary that followed?
It was the true life story of the so called ‘honour killing’ of Banaz Mahmod.
Mind boggling how parents can do this to their own children, and shocking that the Police ignored her cries for help.
After watching the drama, the documentary was tear jerking, particularly the footage of her initial interview, which took the Police 3 months to type up for her to sign!

RIP Banaz.

I watched the first episode and will catch up with the second. I think the documentary would be too upsetting though.

It beggars belief how parents can do this. I always assumed parental love was innate and therefore your desire to protect them overwhelming but it appears not in some cultures.
B*stards rot in hell is all I can say.

And yes RIP you poor beautiful girl 💔

Watched the drama. How inept were the Police?

It seems though that whenever you think you have discovered the furthest and darkest limits of human behaviour it always turns out that you haven’t.
There is always something else.

I didn’t realise there was a documentary as well. I don’t know if I have the guts to watch it, but I feel like I should.
