Horrendous Website

I always remember something SeasideKurt posted on here a while back and it stuck with me 95%(or it was something close to that) of problems are caused by the user and not the actual site you go on.

So with that in mind I had problems at first then I realized it was me and had to set up a completely new account with the same email now it works a treat.
What was the issue?

I've set 2 up now, mine and Mrs, no issues, email sent straight away clicked link even in junk and set up and linked eticketing account in seconds.

No issues whatsoever so far.
 
Having attempted to use it I agree ….. it’s seriously bad.

After lots of faffing I’ve managed to renew my ST. But it was far from easy.

First I registered for the new account and linked in with the client reference number last week.

You’d assume once I’d logged into that account it’d take me to a renew option. Nope. At least not at first. Just lots of choices to buy a ST wherever you want.

Search map sort of works but a bit awkward trying to decide which is your seat. If they have your client reference number they’d obviously have that.

Try the search function to locate your seat? Good idea. Except there apparently is neither a south stand nor an Armfield Stand!!!!

We’ll blow me!!

Finally a renew ST option pops up. Hurrah!!!! Check details. Yep that’s the one 👍

Enter all the usual credit card details and you’re sent an OTP and have 5 minutes to complete the purchase. Shortest five minutes of my life. More like one or two minutes at a push. Anyway timed out the first time but successful the second.

Final gripe. Despite being told in the confirmatory email I’d had a choice between collecting, email or ST posted to me none of those options were available at the point of purchase. So another phone call will be needed at some point in the future no doubt.

All of this was on an iPhone so maybe I should’ve walked upstairs to a PC.

Overall though. Go in or ring up to buy would be my advice.

Registered fine,can access the tangerine tv and club shop sections, but the ticket section is just on perpetual load. Same outcome on phone, tablet and laptop and multiple browsers.
 
I agree that sometimes on here you get the feeling some people need their own arse wiping, but I've got to say this re-registering of accounts has been absolutely crap.

It took me days. I've never had issues with emails going to spam, or my email address no longer being recognised when its not changed. I was receiving a message saying there can't be gaps in my address. There isn't, there never was. Also had the verification problems as mentioned.

Was about to mail the marketing address provided in the download help link, then out the blue it finally works.

My guess is its the software used by the provider that's the problem. I'm no pc geek by any means but I'm not dumb either. We can't all be wrong. Its been rubbish, I'm an exile and I seriously will rethink purchasing my Tangerine TV season ticket if were gonna have problems.

Hopefully we won't.

But trying to actually use it to renew my ST was a bit of a ‘mare tbh.

Apart from delivery or collection of the ST it’s all sorted now but it wasn’t the seamless or pain free experience you’d expect or hope for.

Ahh I haven't actually renewed mine yet.

But the whole sign in, link thing was no issue.
 
The problem I have (according to Amy) is that I used different email addresses for the old site and the ticket master site - apparently the new registration process can’t cope with this.
I was promised it had been fixed on Friday, but it’s still not recognising my client reference 😞.
The site did say to use the same email for the shop account to auto tranflsfer and for ttv subscriptions to auto transfer.

Not sure what if you have a different email.
 
How did you do it manually?
Have changed my post as understood what they were saying, but for the client account one you have set up your account there's a part on manage account, where you see it say profile, change email...

You scroll along as there's more options, including link client reference. You choose that and put it in.

Have not been able to log on for the last few days. Have now tried to reset my password and still not received a verification code yet. Surely someone has tried it out firstly. It’s bloody useless
 
For some reason, there was no option to renew on the main ticket screen until I clicked on the 'my account' icon in the top right. It has the option to renew there. I didn't go ahead and click on renew (although will do at some point), but when I went back to the main ticket page the option to renew had also appeared there. Very strange.

Yes because that signs you in, you click it and i don't have to put the password in it just auto logs you in it seems.

So once clicked your personal stuff comes up, hence the st reminder main page.
 
Mine wouldn’t long my client reference it would only accept my sons. I emailed the ticket office and they sorted it for me
 
Yeah the sign on stuff is no issue. Can sign on and access fine.

Problem is when I click shop I get this...

Is you phone browser set to mobile or request desktop site? If its chrome try clicking the desktop botton in the 3 dot options top right and see what happens then un tick and go back to mobile.

Yep any issues not sorted by the official advice posted above or on the thread I did just email or phone the club.

As someone who has been involved around IT Dev for years….

If c95% of problems are being caused by the user the UI/UX is probably rubbish.

IMHO I would describe this as an awful UI/UX and not tested properly.

Even my confirmation email right at the bottom when I bought two tickets said it had only taken £319.00 from my card - which was the price for my lads when both ours were at £690.00. My card has hd 690 reserved though!!!

Just to add anyone who releases a new site at arguably the most critical time of year wants shooting.

You do not drop something like this on a user base when they are about to spend the most money they probably will with you all year.

The club are doing so much right I feel guilty having a go - but this is unacceptable.

Who ever is in charge of this should be held to task.

This also smells of a Software Engineer testing their own code - which in my experience never works!!

Just tried to renew on website but it wouldn’t allow me. No problem registering or retrieving my account and went straight to Renewal site. It would simply would not let me pay. Pressed pay by credit/debit card and waited and waited. Kept retrying but could not get passed that stage. Rang ticket office and very helpfully and quickly sorted it over the phone. The lady was going to report my experience, can’t think I am the only one.
