Hovercraft to Southampton?

Looking at it…..anyone interested?

It‘ll be circa £89 return to include a buffet and first drink

Meeting at Central Pier and picking up also at South Pier but only dropping off at Central Pier on return

Leaving at 8am so there for opening time and leaving straight after match but full onboard (subsidised) bar available and an Elvis Tribute act on return journey 👍

Maximum number of passengers will be about 165 so express interest early to avoid disappointment 👍
If it’s genuine then iam in

Perfect weather conditions for your arrival but don’t forget to pick up the Southampton Pilot as you pass the Needles. We wouldn’t want you getting stuck on a sand bank and stopping the cruise ships Entering and leaving and you all missing the game.
We don't need any help….our Skipper has been at this game a long time old son

its guaranteed to be a cracking trip that’s for sure……can’t wait. Come on yoooo Poooool!!

Yeah, the thing about hover crafts is that they hover.
Well last time ( Feb 2020…storm Dennis ) we sailed back into Southampton on board P&O‘s Oceana( now sadly sold) I guarantee any Hover Craft would certainly have hovered into “space”.
We couldn’t even pick up the Southampton Pilot at the usual place but in Brixham Bay instead which believe me was an experience in itself. However despite the fact we docked close to 9 hours late ( causing chaos of us disembarking and then next cruise passengers boarding, the last one before the Covid closed everything down) it definitely made the end of our cruise a moment to remember.

Think you took my post a bit too seriously 😉or maybe not😉

I don’t think any of the “experts” on here know much about modern hovercraft and I think our Captain may just know a little more than them tbh.
The lads who are on the trip know the score and we’ll have a great time 👍, a unique Tangerine trip that will go down in legend . The Moaners on here will do what they usually do….Just Moan

I remember being in the pub at Charlton all them years back when the shout went out that the football special had arrived.
Just imagine the same on Saturday, oi lads Blood's hovercraft has just pulled up.
Pool fans at their best.

I picked up on the sand bank bit, in that they go over sand banks

Seriously national press should be all over this. What fans are prepared to do to support their team in the FA Cup a competition which is said to have declined substantially in popularity of the last few years

BBC should have a reporter on board for the FA Cup Highlights.

Every credit Blood for organising this. Absolutely brilliant.

I’m trying to get my head round whether one or two think this is a serious thread😁

We’ll be doing some filming for broadcasting later of course….the lads boarding, beers being cracked open, laughter at the 2/3 who get violently sea sick and Ill, nautical references, me having a go at steering, lads pretending to fish off the sides as we are doing 85mph, us all shouting Land Ahoy as we reach Southampton and then making the weakest passenger walk the plank….. all great fun 👍

I was thinking to save all the time rounding Lands end and all that shipping in the English Channel as it is a hovercraft you could go straight down the M55,M6,the Toll Road,M40,A34 and M3 as you don’t actually have to be on water😉to get there.
Might have a problem on those pesky roadworks on the M55 as you near that dump known as Prescum.🙄

It would appear so 😂
Big time.

On reflection there were obvious and glaring hints.

Hovercrafts and buffets - not a good combination.

Time to wear one of these next time I go out in public

Hovercraft don't get stuck on sandbanks. That's their USP
