How can Critchley.....

Peterborough have got better players who are comfortable with one touch passing and movement.

Unless you really have a go at them and put Ferguson in a position where he struggles to react and make changes in game then they'll just do their thing and dominate. Which they did tonight. So fair play to them.

Yeah they are. It's hurting them not being able to get Clarke-Harris off the wage bill for money like they did when they found us to take Norburn. And there's not much strength in depth beyond what we saw tonight so when they dip in form they really dip. And as said Ferguson is even more of a Plan A has to work as expected type than Critchley. But they always seem to have something about them as a team and assets of increasing value that other clubs want that they can showcase in an attacking team when they're in league one.

When Critchly came out to educate the fans that we are becoming a possession based team, I thought by now we would see players who were comfortable on the ball, constantly moving into space, lots of energy..... But nothing. We just play hoof ball. What the f do they do in training every day? Has any player actually improved this year?

We get done on the wing, done in mf and our defence is a joke, but we won the possession stats so everything's OK.

I think Critch just needs to go for his own mental health to be honest. It was tough to watch the abuse he was getting tonight from people in the West. I didn't want him back and nothing has changed my mind since he came back either but he was getting absolute dogs abuse tonight.

It's just not working out for him and I fear if Saturday goes the same way as tonight then it could get really ugly.

This isn't a defence of him. He should just walk away again but this time keep walking.

Must be difficult standing on the touch line and getting abuse. I hope he turns it around but he’s up against it. I don’t think we have a top 6 team and we are neither one thing or the other. We are not a good technical footballing side or a strong tough battling team. For me the recruitment over the last two years has been our downfall more than the managers.

I think it has been both

I think Sadler is trying to do the right thing but is either not employing the right people or the ones he is employing are letting him down badly.

It would be better if he stood right back and employed a proper director of football, someone who has managed and knows the game inside out, figures and AI can't give you what a real background and heart in football can.

Yeh Peterborough have been miles above us in every game we've played them. Quick tempo, attacking, good on the ball. We ragged that one on Saturday. Only Dembele would be of interest to them out of our squad which also says a lot about our squad.
yep, they crapped themselves when Dembele showed what he can do. So what do we do..... we put him on the bench.😕😕

For a coach that prides himself on playing football, we resorted to playing a lot of hoofball tonight.

Unless you have a Gaz Madine type striker who's 6' 4" and a physical presence, that long ball stuff is a complete waste of time.

Far too easily we resort to that, well drilled sides don't.

Either he's happy for them to do that or they aren't listening or capable of doing what he wants.

So is it the plan.... or ineffective coaching, players lack of quality or a combination?

Peterborough were FAR superior to us in every facet of the game. They had real pace ( we had none ) they had players comfortable on the ball ( we only had Dembele ) and I can fully understand why they let their captain Norburn leave, he was pitiful.

They deserve to be in a higher league than us - they absolutely battered us tonight and it could easily have been 6-0.

It's not just the football we play, it's the tempo we play it at. So slow and sideways, that the ball always seems to end up with either Husband or Connolly hoofing it aimlessly. Remember what Salder said about fast, attacking football? I think we can put that with the training ground and east stand as things he hasn't delivered on.

We've given up on possession based it seems, unless we're allowed to play, then we might have a go, but pretty predictable and slow usually.

They were excellent but the only pleasure I got was watching CJ warming up with his bib on back to front
Well they had to try something - didn't they!?!?

I can't be sure whether or not CJ was acting under instruction, but I can only think things were starting to look so bad, the manager had been thinking about how the Posh players, on seeing how CJ, as he warmed up at the side of the pitch, couldn't even dress himself properly, might have fallen into rapturous bursts of laughter, and then proceeded to completely lose their composure, and, as a result, there would be a complete reversal of fortunes out on the pitch, and Pool would then be able to stage a miraculous recovery and actually claw back the deficit.

This, of course, is pure speculation, but, as the pressure on him continues to mount, who knows what is going on between his (Critchley's) ears? An absolute tsunami of sh-te, would be my educated guess ...

We were shown up by a team playing proper football, actually passing to each other, movement, and pace. It was embarrassing to watch, Ferguson knows what he’s doing, critchley doesn’t, he needs to go.

Sorry disagree. Peterborough are good but I think they are overrated. They made so many mistakes last night at the back but because we were so ** terrible in every aspect they got away with it.

Good performance from them but not Real Madrid like people are making them out to be. If they were that good they would be walking the league.

They ran into the Blackpool that played like they did against Lincoln, Port Vale, Cheltenham etc.

If the fans are 100% behind a managerial appointment from the start/ or like NC x1 …success on the pitch earns the fan’s unwavering support…performance like last night is soon forgotten…unfortunately for SS his accountant style appointments don’t factor that in…he continues to challenge the supporters… the facts and figures come above all else…how long will he ignore the abuse NC is getting before we get another telling off..😳

I don’t think people are making them out to be Real Madrid, but in comparison to Blackpool, they’re head and shoulders better than us.

We looked like a lower league side trying to play against a premier league team.

They played at their peak and we played at the absolute depths of our performance levels.

I think people are going a bit over the top. They had two chances which were offside in the build up. A penalty which should never have been given.

We got beaten by a much better side on the night but I can certainly see why they aren’t top 2.

So basically we have been absolutely hammered twice this season at home by a side you think is "over rated"?

You have a point because before tonight they had lost four games on the bounce, I guess it shows how shit we are when you consider they could have beaten us by 5 or 6 tonight.

Over rated or not that's twice this season they've come here and absolutely drilled us and looked promotion material.

They were fantastic last night, but they made some massive errors pissing around passing it out of the back and I can see why they aren’t walking the league.

If they were that good pal, they’d be top. They aren’t. Some good youngsters but they are playing a naive brand of football of over playing it in their 3rd which is why they get caught out is my point.

Add to the fact we were beyond atrocious and it makes them look far better than they are.

Critchley should have matched them formation for formation but he’s just a very poor manager.

I wouldn't say they're not good enough up compared to all of the opposition we have to face, but you could definitely see what Peterborough have and what we don't last night.

I think a change of coaching method (not necessarily the head coach) could get better results out of the players we have and make them look a lot less awkward on the pitch.
