Hubby again....

I said the other day that we haven't really seen many players improve this season but we've seen a lot go backwards and I hope we're ruthless in May and remember their recent performances and not what they've done across the whole time with us.

What do you mean?

In one of your posts the other day you said he was too lightweight or words to that effect and shouldn’t have been selected etc as he didn’t add anything…..

He is the only forward passing midfielder we have available with Patino.

He “ran” the midfield first half yesterday

He did OK yesterday, but we still conceded three goals and they dominated the midfield yesterday.

I was basically saying that Fiorini wouldn’t have changed the result against Cardiff … They were too big and too physical… they would have brushed him aside in my view. I was just taking the piss at TAMs comment, because Vardiff were massive and we needed someone big and physical.

I could see him doing much better with a decent holding / tackling midfielder in there as we’ve been mostly powder puff this season.

Both him and Patino are very gifted, but they're both a bit lightweight and hit and miss 👍

I disagree with you a bit there. Both those players need a proper DCM alongside them that gives them the freedom to play.

We've no chance of getting Patino and I wonder whether the chance of getting Fiorin has gone. He'll be a top C/ship player in years to come maybe even make it in the PL if he beefs up a bit. The player 'The Model' was built for.

The big Prem clubs will loan these players out one more time. This time to good Championship clubs who can push their selling price up.

I thought that’s what I was saying… They are both gifted, but they need some protection.

The chance may have gone unfortunately though I wouldn’t let the financials get in the way as you’re going to make a ROI I’d have thought.

Sorry mate. I didn't read that line first time. Me idiota. 😂

Whats an ROI?

Cool. Course.

I'll have to reread your post before I agree with you.
I probably didn’t explain myself well there really… I meant that if he’s still happy to come and they will let him (despite dropping a level) then I wouldn’t let the money (fee and wages) get in the way…within obvious reason…

But a) He’d be absolutely outstanding in L1 (a promotion winner) and b) we’ll get a decent outgoing fee at sone point.

No. I did get you.

Is he not what the 'Model' was set up for. Buy young, good, develop and sell.

I was under the impression he came with some sort of availability on a perm and that was reinforced when we didn't send him back, but in L1?? Would he come? He's reportedly on a LT deal at City and I'd guess that wouldn't be far of C/ship level wages. Perhaps if City paid him a bonus to cover say 1 years wage drop in exchange for a higher sell on clause?

He'd be a WOW signing that's for sure.

Sober head on and disappointment after the shit show yesterday..
Shouldn't be slaging off any one individual. Hubby, Connoly if you read this message board please except my half cut rants. However the team as a collective you've all under performed and been SHITE. And unfortunately after 53 years of supporting the Pool ain't going to stop now. It's ** horrible loving the thing that hurts you the most......

Unfortunately, both Patino and Fiorini cannot handle the physicality of this league. Wintle didn't need a Bridcut or Stewart to be effective last season he only had Dougall for the most part. It wasn't hard to work out that without him, and the injury-prone Stewart we would struggle. Let's hope that Trybull gets fit and plays next season, and we haven't signed another injury-prone player who spends the season not playing.

I don't think it's fair to judge any of our team until we have two actual centre halves in the team.
