I'm currently reading Hugging Strangers by Jon Berry. Lent to me by my Blues supporting friend, it tells the story of watching Birmingham from the 60's onwards. Replace Birmingham with Blackpool and dozens of other clubs and it is a tale that resonates with me and with Mani fans.
The frequent loss and occasional highs of football fandom.
Desperate, funny, poignant and sad, a real fans view and well worth a read

Even though we have a tribal rivalry with other teams, we all suffer from the same affliction of loving our own club, right or wrong. This is a joy (and a despair) that the glory-hunting supporters, who adopt one of the big clubs, will never know.
