My dad has a hatred for Liverpool that he still holds til this day. Dunno how you can hate an entire club for the actions of a couple of thousand pissed up idiots but there you go

I think it goes a fair way to explain the police's attitude at Hillsborough to be honest.
 
Sad to say was there that day. Went with a mate and his dad who were ST holders as had nothing better to do at the time. Bought a ticket outside the ground from a Belgian guy which was for the neutral part where the trouble was. Fortunately, managed to get in the section with my mate and his dad which was for Liverpool fans.
We spent most of the first hour ducking the concrete being thrown over the fencing by both sets of fans before it turned really nasty when Liverpool fans arriving late and who had bought/stolen tickets from touts arrived at the back of the neutral section. The Juventus fans who also had bought tickets for that section but were in the ground a lot earlier and didn't stand a chance at the front.

Didn't realize people so many innocent people had died until we were awaiting the ferry back.

Worst day of my life at a football match and never really spoke about it until a good few years later
