I’ve slept on the CB deal

Look when I woke up about the CB deal, my head was confident that deal was going to go through but deep down I knew there was a catch. I’d admit I was being boastful to Oxford fans on Twitter calling them weird and them being in denial and such. When CB signed a new deal I got bantered left, right and centre and rightly so. CB has used us to get a better deal, that’s football. The Oxford fans bantering me I can take but them muppets down the M55? I just can’t wait for 22nd oct to shut them nobbers up. Aw well, still can’t wait for the season to start and we will get players in but BM and JS need to step up. UTMP 🍊

I feel like you created this post with the aim of putting a position spin on not getting CB, then got worked up talking about the nobbers and forgot (understandable)

On reflection I feel the player and his manager played us. In that regard the manager has previous! I feel the people who oils come badly out of this are the Oxford directors. No large sum to invest, no big wage cancelled but instead a larger wage bill. Will the other players be happy especially when it comes to renewing their contracts. They, rightly, will ask for a larger slice. But! And it is a big but! What if they don’t get promotion or a worse scenario - relegation. Hope it doesn’t happen but what if he suffers a long-term injury? Their manager might play his get-out card once too often and suffer the consequences. He can sound off to the media once too often. I prefer our style - silence is golden until the deal is done.

Lads look, I know I’ve screwed up big time and I was being overconfident that the deal was done and I deserved to get bantered but calling me troll is completely unnecessary so let’s not fall out lads ok?

Mate that’s not the case at all. I was being overconfident and I’m getting bantered left right and centre. Am I going to whinge about it? No, why? Because in football, never say never and Banter is just part of it. End of story.
