I can't defend Critchley any more

Last chance saloon for NC,kick the players up the backside as every single one of them has been utter shite this week.
It's like they all went on the piss Christmas Eve and ate too much Turkey Monday.

New Years day you need a result as with previous managers our great home support will turn against you Neil.

Disagree. Dembele is the only one who shows hunger , enthusiasm and that he cares about the match he's playing in
 
I'm as positive as they come but I can see a really strong offensive L1 squad that clearly, after more than half a season, are not suiting this system at all. The stubbornness of critch is so frustrating.

I can't help thinking that Apples would do very well with his 343 in this league with this squad.
 
As much as I'm not a fan of Critchley and his tactics. I can't help but feel pissed off with the players too. They don't seem to be playing for the fans or the shirt. It's just spineless.

I'm not defending Critchley though. His stubborness to stick with this system that clearly isn't working is going to cost him his job. The buck stops with him.

This squad is performing well below it's capabilities. Top 6 should be the minimum expectation and that is now looking more and more unlikely.

Nobody should have to 'apologise' unless it's vile slagging of course! Jesus, there would be more apologies than discussion on this board if we live by those rules!
 
It's not all over yet, but it can't carry on like this. The tactics have to change. He has to change 3-5-2. He has to own up that it's not worked. We have seen enough evidence to say that the tactics are no good against defensive teams.

Agree with this. There is a collective blame here. But the buck stops with the manager. He brought the players in, he trains them every day, he sets them up before each game.

I feel they are playing like they've lost confidence in him.
 
I'm p1ssed off with all of them. Players are sh1te, Critches formation is shite and it will get him the sack but the board are shite too and will no doubt appoint another shite manager.

No. People have been slating him, players, the chairman, Chizzy......anyone they can and there's been no perspective whatsoever.

Many wanted him gone before we were more than a few games in, which is ridiculous.

I've defended them all because negativity is a cancer that eats away and as we saw last season with the appointment of Appleton is completely counter productive.

It's plain to see the players are giving it there all but clearly the system is wrong.

The vast majority of real supporters have backed him but after watching the last two games and listening to his excuses now for too long I can't defend him. It doesn't mean I was wrong previously and it doesn't mean others were right.
The fact is it's not improving. Results wise it's been pretty much the same all season but he's meant to improve players and thus the team but it just isn't happening.

I have suffered from the depths of depression for around 20 years up until I asked for help.
I was surrounded by negatives, people, work , certain 'friends'
Ditched the lot and now live with a smile on my face.
Negativity helps nobody.

NC needs to either change for the better or get some help, tha latter being the better option.
Asking for help isn't giving up, it's refusing to give up.

There is nothing to be positive about following Blackpool this season. The writing was on the wall early in the season. I just called it.

To stick with these failed tactics is borderline crazy. Someone should ask Neil if he is ok.

I’d like to give a warm, sincere congratulations to all those that weren’t even willing to give Critchley a chance and are now basking in the glory of feeling like their negativity since day 1 has been vindicated.

I can’t imagine how good you all feel telling everyone that will listen “I told you so”. It must be quite the buzz

But their home form would imply otherwise. Teams have sussed us out away from home and nothing is being done to change that. We’re not building on our home form. I can’t see how that can be down to the players.

He still believes in what he's doing though, which you have to admire, but it's sadly killing the club.
 
I don’t think it’s the players at all. I don’t think there’s an evident lack of enthusiasm. They are trying they just don’t have that extra bit in them that wins tackles and closes down quicker. It’s all down to the system for me. Problem is there isn’t a plan b is there and Critch won’t change. Tbf he did change the way we played in the championship after so long. Needs to happen now or get rid

He keeps trying the same thing and keeps getting the same outcome.
I just can't fathom why he expects different outcomes when nothing changes.

He needs some experienced help to guide him or to change what he's doing.
