I spoke to a police officer today

Had a similar conversation with an officer last season….. ‘we’re not allowed to, it’s against human rights’
I tried telling him that other clubs do it, but it went straight over his head! Clueless, utterly clueless

They literally made us wait behind for 45 minutes last season? That happened. Whole we had bricks and bins and bottles thrown at us.

....and asked why they don't keep the North End fans in the ground after the match for a while.

His reply was they will escape onto the pitch and its hard to keep them in the East stand.

The mind boggles.....
On the way back to the car I bumped in to a former next door neighbour of mine who retired as a Police superintendent about 10 years ago and who was also a former match day commander.
His words today were the Police couldn’t organise a raffle and it beggars belief how incompetent they really are.

It's bizarre the excuses they still use despite keeping us in at other places.

We technically could have escaped onto the picth at thier place but whats the point....

IF Nob End manage to stay in the Championship this season then the police MUST keep them back after the derby next year.
Whilst they're in get all the coaches lined up outside the ground and whoever has come on the train round them up too.
If the Nobbers don't comply keep them in longer.
And as for the "they may escape onto the pitch" comment from plod, you've got truncheons, ** em.
By that time all the Blackpool fans should have dispersed (not like the nobber twats at Deepdale) and the rest who've come in cars can leave to find their vehicles.

How much is a police commander on🙄

My younger son and I were stood outside the ground after the game next to two mounted police. A group of young Blackpool fans looking for a bit of argy bargy suddenly appeared next to us and the coppers warned them off. One of the coppers incorrectly assuming my son was with them, repeatedly manoeuvred his horse, blocking his path, saying aggressively, “don’t try it on with me, matey, you won’t get the better of us! (He and the horse.) I rescued him by saying he was with me and the copper was very apologetic saying that they’d had some awful brawls to deal with..I can understand that they get hacked off having to deal with idiots but my son was seriously pissed off because the horse stood on his ankle.. 😂

Copper got dragged off his horse at sleepdale boxing day in the 80's he'd had his batten out clubbing fans on the head - got exactly what he deserved

I spoke to quite a few today along Seasiders Way, none of them had a clue why they were there.

I went to watch Fleetwood v Wimbledon a few years ago, there was 28 Wimbledon fans there and near the ground there was two policewomen ambling up the road on horses. I couldn't resist and and asked em why was it necessary to bring horses to a match like that and have em shitting all the way up the road ? They just gave a sarcastic smile and clip copped merrily towards the ground

Years ago, one of my Army mates came to watch one of our games, a mad Celtic fan. Said to a policewoman on a horse that her horse looked knackered. She replied “ So would you be if you’d been between my legs all day” 😂
