I want him sacked now

So which area of this performance was his fault?

CJ's appalling defensive header?
Maxwell's terrible effort for the second?
Connolly running half the pitch alongside their player without even a hint of making a tackle?

Seriously. I get that we're shit and it hurts against this bunch of cunts but the players are a mile away from being good enough and it's plain as day that off the field stuff is playing a role.

CJ starting.
Maxwell starting.
Dougall starting.
The formation.

He has to go right after the final whistle.

End the reply to your post.

I'm 100% certain that all 3 are starting because finances are dictating it. There's no way both coaches would play them almost without fail and not play alternatives.

Same applies to Connolly playing week in/week out.

I am watching on TT/V and my mate txt me to see what sky is saying and heres my answer.

Watching on TT/V and the commentator says. I don’t watch Blackpool a lot but 9 minutes gone in the 2nd half and the best 3 players were on the bench. 14 minutes gone he says to Brett how the hell did these 3 not start

How about choosing a starting 11 that might threaten with a goal ???

You said the starting 11 wouldn't threaten a goal. Given that we hit the post and did pose a threat, what you're saying is factually incorrect. The defeat is down to being very poor defensively. Same as all season no matter who the coach has been. As evidenced by the stats sky showed where we are bottom of all the key stats.

We're 'better' in the second half because from the third goal onwards Nob End have been in cruise control with no concerns. So they are happy for us to have the ball. And notably, we've missed chances.

It's not about defending McCarthy, it's about seeing what's really happening. Too many 'injuries' and players not playing despite being obviously better than those who are. That's all down to budget constraints. Same reason Critchley left. He could see the writing on the wall and found an exit route. And same reason why coaches like Rosenior and Duff weren't interested despite it looking like we were a good move for an up and coming coach.

Its his responsibility…whichever way you look at it

Half I agree with .... half bollocks.

Quitchley didn't see an escape route, he got offered a bag of money. Get it right.

Walked out at 3-0.

No fucker saw that starting 11 and thought we were set-up to do well. Fuckin useless old **.

Get him out now. Wasting everyone’s time.

Me too. 'Cos there was no coming back from that, and the prospect of being kettled by Lancs Police for an hour afterwards didn't appeal.

Shit starting 11 - why, why, why set up defensively against a team with a home record as bad as our own, a team that had only scored 14 at home this season?

I wouldn’t be arsed if he walked but I don’t really see the point in sacking him. We’re not going to get anyone to perform a miracle so what’s the point? Seems like a costly hassle and could make us look like one of those trigger happy clubs.

Looking forward to next season now.

Strange timing and an odd appointment .

The way your fans gave your lads abuse at the end when they came over, I think his position is unattainable.

Unlikely a change this late though ?

It was a ridiculous appointment straight after another unsuitable appointment.

I’m convinced we would be better with Dobbie. Anything positive is worth a try at this juncture.

No other established or credible manager would be willing to have a go at this point in the season.

Can’t believe he’s still in the job, negative dour tactics and leaving our best players out. We don’t keep clean sheets away from home so why does he keep trying.

Including Micks last four away games at Cardiff he’s now lost ten in a row away league games… TEN.

This is a ** dreadful appointment and whilst not all his fault he is taking us down, if it wasn’t for Wigans deduction we would be bottom.

WHY IS HE STILL HERE??

Just give it Dobbie or anyone with the mantra to attack attack attack and start Poveda Bowler and at least give it a ** go.

Must admit I was glad when Appleton was sacked as I thought he was definitely taking us down! I was a little more positive with MM’s appointment as he had huge experience and though I was not expecting excitement I thought he would have had the nouse required to have made us hard to beat and ‘grind out results’ It became quite obvious, even to me, that he wasn’t going to get what he wanted out of our players and I think we all just about agree our best form of defence is to attack!
Mccarthy is too stuck in his ways and has been a huge disappointment and his only achievement is to finish what Appleton started!
I see no benefit to the club to retain his services a day longer. Might as well show him the door and preferably bring in the new man now, if he’s available or let Debbie see the season out and see what kind of tune he can get out of them.

Straight at the final whistle. Gone.
Agree.
However, one must consider the financial aspect.
How much did Appleton get for being sacked?
How much would MM get if sacked now?
It's all coming out of SSs pockets.
Added to which is the fact that SS will have to fork out for new players for next season.

It would cost nothing extra.

could someone explain the budget restrictions that means we can’t play certain players?
I was just about to raise the very same point. And, I might just add, for budgetry restrictions to be the primary reason for the continuing selection of such 'limited' performers, I can't but feel questions have to be raised about the true nature of the club's current finances. Can anyone elaborate?

I can't see him changing his philosophy now. He clearly believes that defending for 45 minutes and attacking for the rest of the game is the way to win 3 points. Deeply Deeply flawed - however he'll look at those two goals we conceded in the first half, believe both were stoppable (which they were) and carry on regardless IMHO.
