I want to hear from Sadler before buying my season tickets

Poor end to the season but good season overall and club progressing.

I'd like to hear more about our ambitions, the training ground hopefully soon etc.

But I'm definitely buying next season and we all should be. Hopefully we price well to attract new fans.

Better football will follow with better players and a more settled squad.

I think its obvious we will be having players and selling them and re investing as a way to punch above our weight and I'm completely fine with that, its the only way.

Whats the aim for next season, whats the ambition?

Are we going to have a go in the transfer market?

Why didn't we pay the value set for Brannagan?

Are we going to be selling our best players?

How are you going to build the fanbase?

What's happening with the training ground?

Is the manager going to play a more attractive style of football?

Lets be having you ..............
Brett’s got your number on speed dial so just give him a week off with his family first 👍

No unrealistic to expect a club owner to give an end of season report/message. Fans have put so much faith in him that he should feel duty bound to do so.

It’s not your age, it’s just the reality of watching football. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not very good….

If it was always good, you wouldn’t know what good was, so good would just be boring.

I do hear what you say and yes you could be bored with good football but with me and Blackpool, I think it is my age.

I must stress again that although I don't think we are entertaining, I fully appreciate why we play in the manner that we do and that we have managed to compete at a level where the others have bigger budgets and Critch is a nice guy etc etc etc.

I think if anyone had asked these questions and not Phil then the answers may have been a bit different. I think they're reasonable questions and should be asked. I also think Daz's replies are excellent and pretty much agree with how I feel. But Phil is right to pose the questions so a thumbs up from me

Maybe you need to have a mid life crisis and buy a motorbike or something…?

My worry is that Simon just doesn't have the money, i could be wrong but losing out on CB for the sake of 200k doesn't bode well

Especially as CB was Critchley's top target for 2 transfer windows
I heard it was less than 200k that we were out on CB but we wouldnt budge. I think the salient point on this thread should be that there are many of us who will buy a season ticket no matter what (within reason) and it is the floaters and ditherers we need to persuade. To date the club have done little to address this and as a result the crowds will not increase and it will just be the same old faces.

There were threads earlier in the season about our fans being the best in the country and to some extent I agree BUT we are short on numbers at times and an extra 1k or so could make a big difference in terms of atmosphere...the club need to remember we lost a generation of fans under the vile Oystons and we lost fans during Covid. To not have announced the season tix packages for next season is ludicrous and shows a lack of communication and also ambition. Maybe the SLO can have a word.

All very good questions. If we're not careful we could end up getting fobbed off, Oyston style.

Has Phil been taking lessons from Paulco😉

Style of play or entertaining football is so subjective. I like possession based football so have no issues at all with passing around at the back and drawing teams on. The issue for me is to get better at it and get players in who can do it better. Then there are those who think it's awful to pass around at the back and we should 'get it forward'. To me they are dinosaurs of football but to them I'm probably too idealistic either way it proves the point.
Also I have no problem Blackpool putting a limit on what they will pay for someone and if they can't get him then move on to someone else. I think it's sound business but others might think fcuk it just spend the extra, again different views.
Ultimately I trust the board and manager to continue to do the right thing and I don't need them to tell me what they are doing to progress as so far they have given me no reason not to trust them so I will buy my season tickets (priced reasonably).

It doesn't work like though does it.
.
Passing around the back from forward positions only for the goalkeeper to HOOF possession away to the opposition.

Surely you have noticed that non tactic haven't you?

Course I have so we need to get better at it not just abandon it or say it doesn't work but it goes back to this being a work in progress and a squad being built.

as an exile i have to say anyone who bought season tickets(as me and my wife did through out the oyscum) days deserve credit ,and are true supporters any glory fans may as well go and support a boring premier team, as far as i am concerned(as most know )on this site i am from wolverhampon ,but never a wolves fan ,said many times before support comes from the heart ,not the gob.
up the mighty whatever the outcome be promotion or relegation, that should never reflect on a true tangerine renewing a season ticket or not without first asking the owner to justify why he or she should or not, in Simon and Critch we have to believe ,these are good times enjoy ffs.

Are you suffering from menstruation
Did some 1 make you sit near the Columbidae south/east corner

The football has been quite boring at times, as it was last season. I've enjoyed watching the youth team, who have been more attack minded and for me, more entertaining. They seem to have a more balanced team with a strong midfield. Hopefully the first team can follow their lead.

I don't agree with much of what Phil says, but I agree, much of the football this season has been mind numbing, keeping possession for the sake of it does not make for entertaining football.

I'm not too bothered about hearing statements of intent and I expect us to play the type of football that our situation demands. Built on defensive organisation. I would hope and expect to see, dare i say it, some measured progress next season. Can't wait already.
Measured progress? Are you Karl Oyston?!!!😉

How do you propose we sign these “key” players? Any decent player would cost we can’t expect them all for free so you are expecting our Owner to pay for these?
If Bowler goes (Im guessing that would be one of Phil’s key positions, btw), then the money we should get will cover a few of those positions, 3 quality loans for the more expensive positions (striker and winger on each side) perhaps?
We’d need to spend on an attacking mid, a left back and centre back. A back up right back wouldn’t need to be a bank breaker.
I don’t think Phil’s key 7 need to be internationals, just better than we have.

* I’m not speaking for Phil, the positions I’ve mentioned are the ones I think need improvement for us to push on.

All valid points, but after the financial losses of the last few years, realistic expectations required I think. However we may need to sell to invest and 4 quality incomings instead of lot’s of scattergun signings are required imo. Plus play the loan market better.

It would take SS or his 2i/c about 3 minutes to detail what the plan is for next season,
What the progress is on the TG.
What the grand plan is going forward
An update on ST’s

I don’t think Phil needs to support Wrexham next season just for asking a few questions that can’t be that difficult to answer 😉😎😂

I could just say fuck off but I don't use Industrial language. This is a good thread Phil. 👍

I actually agree with the OP. I'm a season ticket holder and before it can be assumed that I'll fork out as per, I want the owner - not the manager - to tell me where our club is going, when and how. I am not a millionaire and I pay my season ticket money up front. So, come on Mr Sadler, talk to me.

Whatever happens or not happens I will be renewing my season ticket. Isn’t it amazing how some find it so easy to spend someone else’s hard earned money!

I fear Phil’s request for openness may fall on deaf ears following his ‘sack the manager to save our season’ plea in February of last year 😀.

Upwards is where we're going. Can you not see that? a couple of years post being in receivership we have completely overhauled the club from top to bottom, SS stumping up 4.5 mill of his hard earned during covid, we have been promoted in that time to a top league full of big spending clubs and held our own comfortably. The likes of Josh will move on and the money re invested to strengthen the club as a whole. I have no doubt be it 1,2 or 5 years we will reach the promised land again and when we do we will have 150 million re invested in the club.

A good post. It won't take much though for Mr Sadler to talk to his customers.
