Ian Brunskill

Just watched his interview on the same platform as the others, a very interesting fella, it was a good watch.
Critchley's lieutenant. Does all the drills sessions, the man with the whistle. To use a school analogy he's the enforcer, deputy head. He seems to have a good relationship with all the players. He is an experienced coach in his own right, judging by his CV. But is happy to work under NC. Good coaching team, working well.👍

Thanks. That was great. Do you have a similar link to the Lavery interview? Cant seem to access that from the other posts. Be good if TTV could collect them all and get them in house
But probably copyright etc.
Unfortunately, that one isn't in this format as far as I can see.

If he's done a masters since leaving QPR, that's impressive; but if you watch the video just before 11 minutes, his body language/ tells when answering the questions is quite interesting.

If it always looking to the right before answering a question, that theory of looking to the right is that someone is lying, and it is reversed if
you are left-handed has been proven to be wrong by the latest research. It is just a theory that has gained popularity through NLP.

I will say that he seems to have studied the Fat Sam manual on how to do an interview. :)

And, as I'm assuming it will now be a duty Critch has been happily relieved of, I'm wondering if, amongst his many other 'qualities', Brunskill is also a bit of a dab hand when it comes to 'putting the trusty old cones out' for training purposes? Any problems he might have with this, and I'm sure NC will 'put him right'.

I think with his masters degree in sports psychology he'll cope with that.😁

Of course, as an expert in psychology, he could be just doing this intentionally.

I've always maintained Brunskill is a man of mystery. An Agatha Christie character in disguise if you like.

I know what you mean. The Cork videos didnt convince me, the interview and the training ground stuff. And his career path makes zero sense unless football is just a vehicle he uses to operate under cover. I wonder if Critch knows what he's really up to? Probably not. And I wonder what Stevie G's role is? It did seem to start around Brunskill's time working with Big Sam at Rovers though. From there he went to Malta, then Bolton, then Jordan, and on to China. It's got Big Sam's dirty mitts all over it if you ask me.

Exactly.

"What's in those suitcases Ian?"

"Training bibs Neil"

"But we've got the bibs in that bag over there"

"I said training bibs Neil. Now run along"
