This ‘no money for transfers’ theory has literally just manifested itself here on AVFTT, from absolutely fuck all information and amongst a flurry of headless chickens who are never pleased with the way the club is run no matter what. Just wait and see for fuck’s sake.

I just don’t believe we have no money for transfers/wages. The club is thriving in the Championship. We just need to buy value and not players who can’t immediately affect the first team.
Hasn't SS already said at the structured dialogue meeting that there will be little / no money for transfers this season without us bringing in some ... ?

SS mentioned no or little funds for incoming ..unless outgoings create some. Structured dialogue meeting

Yeah and we’re selling Bowler and now Critch has gone, we’ve plenty more saleable assets, and it’s not an uncommon way for a club of our size to survive. It doesn’t mean no money, it means no magic money tree.

He’s gone for
1. Money
2. Less pressure

Nothing to do with the ambition of this football club

Let’s face it if he doesn’t win any games here for 3 month he might get sacked

If he Gerrard doesn’t win anything for 3 months they ll both get sacked

It’s football

The only way you don’t get this leaving scenario is by employing a club legend

Unfortunately there aren’t any eligible club legend managerial candidates

If we keep the current players and recruit 3 or 4 quality loan players we will have a team that is more than capable of finishing in
the middle of the table maybe even higher. If we sell players then we can use the money raised to invest in replacements, it is a situation that I am more than happy with compared to our transfer policy with the previous owners.

Let's not forget our form from our last 8 games in the championship last season, forget the Birmingham game because that was far from a 6 goal win game, they had plenty of chances that people seem to forget. The last 8 games last season were relagation form, and embarrassing relagation form. We are in for one hell of a tuff season and for me if we survive UTMP but without better recruitments we will be gone before new year. Quote me on this because I really hope I am so so wrong - BUT 😟

Let’s wait to hear what NC says, will be disappointed if he doesn’t make a public statement in the next day or two, think people at the club and definitely the fans deserve to hear his reason behind this decison to leave BFC, even though no matter what he says some people won’t believe him and will be going into conspiracy mode. Have to admit though gutted by this.

Really disagree, the appointment will obviously be crucial but pretty much the whole squad are young enough that they will just keep improving. I think we will too.

I've heard being an academy man, he got annoyed by the Jake Daniels circus and the impact on his development as a footballer. Also, pressures from on high to bring JD more into the spotlight for non-footballing reasons.

To backtrack a moment - we are familiar with the saying "cometh the hour, cometh the man" or words to that effect. I feel I learned more about Critchley yesterday than at any other time in his tenure. The hour came and from him - nothing. Not a word! Like a thief sneaking off into the night!
