If Jerry had scored ...

If Gaz wouldn’t have got injured, then Jerry scored that chance… then possibly yes. I reckon the team were psychologically affected (even more so than they were already), when both of those things happened.

We literally must have walked under a few ladders.

And smashed a few mirrors as well

Yeah reckon so. We became a little more adventurous after the break and opened up a little more at the back when Wiemann scored. If we were 1 up at the break we would have taken no risks in the second half.

Chances get missed, it’s football.

At least next time he'll know what it is- a chance. I'm sure something flickered trying to remind of the last good one he had.

Simple, the fewer chances a striker gets the more he's likely to panic, scuff the shot, take the extra touch, or, in this case take a heavy touch. Get's that tomorrow and it's a goal or a great save 19/20 times

Probably but Jerry gets a free pass on everything anyway.
I'm sure there will be no one more hacked off about missing that chance than Jerry Yates. He is not above criticism and shouldn't get a "free pass" on everything but to me he comes across as one of the most genuine lads I've ever seen play for Blackpool. You can't fault his effort and whilst that alone isn't going to save us from relegation, he might just be the player to build our next team around, if we can keep hold of him.

Or perhaps we should have just joined in with the Bristol City fans after his miss making wanker signs at him?

It was a gilt chance gifted to us, not created by anything we did.
I think Yates was genuinely surprised how the chance happened- normally Maxwell kicks it out in to touch....

MM said the miss affected Yates. Hopefully he will put it behind him and if he gets another chance tomorrow night he can put his barren run behind him.

Jerry is the one player who could still unlock our survival but I would love to see some stats on how many shots he's had on target as for our one and only striker he seems shy at blasting the ball past the keeper.

Feel sorry for Jerry. He must have thought his career was really going somewhere after his success in the last 2 seasons. And now having to play in this.
