If Madine gets fit will Critchley take him back?

Interesting one . For me he is just the type of player we need in League 1 for the other strikers to play off.

Was his injury not bad enough that it might keep him out of action until next year?

Looking at our strikers now we definitely need to add someone who can make the ball stick.

Why the hell not? Imagine Gaz sitting on the bench in a tight game where we are defending a 1-0 lead or it’s a draw and we can’t break them down.

Unleash Gaz goals!!

Plus is there anyone better to teach young Joseph elite level Shithousery?

I was a fan of his while here but sort of feel as though that time has now gone.
I suppose we can assess it in January and see if a) he’s near some sort of match fitness and b) do we even need him.

I would hate him to play against us, absolute warrior of a player. Hopefully he can hang up his boots and join our coaching staff at some point

Exactamundo…gamesmanship skills like this can’t be passed over!

As CAGU said.
On a match day, would you rather he was playing for us (albeit as a sub), or lining up for the opposition against us?

I’d prefer we played football not hoof ball Madine had his strengths & weaknesses one of which was a bit of nastiness which from memory contributed to this injury very early on in his last game for us. I doubt we’ll see him in tangerine again. I still wish him well for however long he’s got left career wise. He’ll be 33.5 if he recovers and gets match fit. So I wouldn’t expect him to have much more than a season & a half playing wise. It still would be useful for us to have a plan B so a tall strong player who could hold the ball up in league 1 would be a good addition. But we need them now not next year. Oh & someone more mobile preferably.
