If that second half hasn’t turned the haters

Plenty of em givin Lavery stick in the match thread.
This following his MOTM 2nd half against Swansea and very good performance against QPR

Every player has off days.

Glad he shoved it up em in the end.

Totally agree. Some of the comments about Lavery on the match thread were well out of order. The lad might have been struggling recently but cannot understand why anyone would want to be so abusive to a player wearing the tangerine shirt. No need for it at all and glad he had the last laugh.

It’s a football forum. To talk about players. He was useless for 70 minutes. Let’s hope that goal brings him a lot of confidence but stop talking about this forum as if you’re not allowed to commentate on the game. No one is doing it to his face.

It didn’t though. He was ** atrocious for 70 minutes. Glad he scored but he needs to be better with his all round game. Hopefully he kicks on but I doubt if we have a few more signings he will be on the bench.
He played a great role in the first half protecting Gabriel and tracking back so so many times.
Two 'less than good' crosses in the second half (He slipped as he played one of them) but he never hid, never gave up and celebrated his goal with the fans. Proper player still learning.

Lavery put a shift and a half in today, he worked his nuts off and caused them problems but his decision making, in the final third, let him down. I'm glad he got a reward for his hard work though and I'm sure his decision making will improve with games.
And let's not forget how he had been one of our best players in each of the last 2 games.

One or two on here are giving Shane & Jordan stick tonight, which is a tad unfair after a result & performance like that.
But that's football & we all have differing opinions.
Not acceptable we need to get behind the team. Good start to the season aside from injuries we now have but we are looking a good team and think we will kick on and have a good season. We hat is it with this constant criticism. I can only put down to early childhood trauma and some on here will be sad twats for the rest of their lives

Love his pace, energy and commitment but he just needs to develop a bit of composure in the penalty area. He doesn’t need to volley or smash the ball first time every time. If he can work on this and I see no reason why he couldn't improve on it, then we have a decent championship forward.

See PT Barnum post above. That is what I was referring to. Nothing to do with "talking about players". It was outright abuse.

I don't get this obsession about so called 'haters' .. all people were doing last week was expressing frustration at what had been a poor afternoon, where I believe had the side and Appleton been set up and shown the cahoonas they did today, we would have won that game.
Who knows maybe the best thing that could have happened .. but lets stop with the idea there's this band of haters, we're all supporters - sadly some expressed their feelings on last week's defeat in a way I never would but I get why they did.

Just like to point out most of that brilliant second half was played by the players that some people want rid of and have been given grief about . That performance was probably the best in the championship this weekend and this is without a city ,an Arsenal and a Wolves player that didn't take part in the second half drubbing of potentially a prem team.
Best post fir years👍🏻🧡

We need to get that positive unity back which served us so well last season. When everyone was behind the team, the management and the coaches, it definitely gave us the edge compared to other clubs. That's why our fans got so many positive reviews given the positive support they provided. I think most are us still are delighted with the way things are going. That's why the small minority that decided it would be ok to give direct abuse to our owner and also our best player was so disappointing. Everyone is of course entitled to their opinion but if it serves no purpose when it's completely unwanted and only hinders the club. I could only understand someone doing it at the present time if it was an undercover nobbers trying to cause discontent...

Lavery scored in a derby game

He was poor but can't fault the effort. Made up for it with the goal and delighted for him and Jerry, plus Corbeanu and the whole lot.

Great for their confidence.

Corbeanu growing into it game by game now.

Thats what some forget, yes he was poor at first but takes time to settle and gel.

He scored against t'Rovers last season too. Perhaps a derby game atmosphere brings something out of him? Shame he was crocked for the nobbers game, but we stuffed them without him.

Not really he was poor and having a poor game, his chance he was in the right place but couldn't really miss.

A great moment though for him and hopefully he kicks on now.

His energy and effort is great.
