HE was . who could ever forget his role in the Great Escape. getting shot at the railway station and creating a diversion for the other escapers.
 
Sad to hear but at least he had a good long life

As well as Kuryakin, he was also brilliant as Carter in Colditz, Steel in Sapphire & Steel and Ducky in NCIS

But my two favourite roles he played were his guest appearance as Vance Hendricks in Babylon 5 and Ashley-Pitt in The Great Escape
 
Yes RIP. I would also add his part as Harold Bride, the junior Marconi operator on Board The Titanic, in the film A Night To Remember (1958).
