Updated take on the attacking with five situation. That first piece was written before we signed Gabriel and Sterling. So we are more balanced now. Gabriel and James attacking wide, Anderson and Bowler in the channels, and Yates centre yesterday.

Just looked at the form guides for the last 6, 8, 10 and 13 games! We are 4th over the last 8, and 3rd in the other 3 tables. 3rd over 13 games suggests we are a serious play off contender now, after an unproductive first 5 games. As our performances do too, especially if we can improve in the attacking third. Which probably means getting more from Gabriel, James and Bowler. More/better delivery into the box. Another central striker option like Simms would be a good investment, I reckon.

Agree that Simms would be an ideal signing for January and it feels like he will be on the radar. Would pair up well with Yates or Lavery, and potentially even Gary Goals. Would leave us with four good strikers at this level.
