Improvement

It depends. In an attacking sense there was no improvement, in fact we were worse than normal especially 2nd half when the numbers were even. I think the fact we were forced to remove Ward did hinder us, but overall no improvement.

In a defensive sense, I think there was both at Crewe and last night. We coped very well with 10 men, and although we still had a lapse in both games, overall we've improved in this area. Ballard and Ekpiteta were both very good last night. I also think our weaknesses up front really highlights every defensive lapse because if we have just one it usually costs us the game.

To be honest I was more disappointed with the Lincoln performance. Charlton I thought were a good well drilled side whereas against Lincoln we threw the game away against an ordinary side.
