I agree, too early to vote. Always give a manager 10 to 12 games. Although we won today we only had a decent spell for 15 minutes around the goal and were playing another poor side.

"Always give a manager 10 to 12 games".

Is that a joke ?

I appreciate that nobody has to like Critchley but what is the point in appointing a manager if you are prepared to get rid of him after poor results in his first 12 games ?

We could end having - and compensating - 4 managers a season, I think we'd need Abromovich to be able to do that not Sadler.

He is too attached to his system when too many bits of the jigsaw are the wrong shape.
Lets see some tactical flexibilty, game management and nouse . Won’t vote yet.

Big week IMO coming up which will be more telling of this poll.

I like NC. I really want him to succeed. So long as we steer clear of the bottom 3 positions and we see slow improvements then I'm all for keeping him. 3 or 4 points this week would give him security IMO. 2 defeats and he's going to be in trouble.

I said 12 games after Ipswich and changed that to 10 after Charlton. The performance wasn't good yesterday but it is vital we win different types of games, not just the tippy tappy ones. The next 2 games are big as on paper they look like good opportunities to improve our position. If we can pick up 4 or 6 points, he'll have done well to settle the ship. If we fail to win either then the knives will be well and truly out.

As much as I agree with 10 to 12 games etc there is no light at the end of this tunnel

The players look lost

Out.

And If Sadler doesn’t get rid of him when we lose to Burton (10 games up) then fans will be turning against him and he simply can’t afford to let that happen.

No wonder Oyscum lasted so long.

Two in three posters back Critchley.

The fans get the boss they deserve.

In, absolutely pointless sacking him now. Just except we won’t be going up and build. We won’t be there to see it anyway so would rather he gets it right when we can all be there. The atmosphere at Bloomers would be awful at the moment.

May be he needs some help like a football advisor. Olly had Thommo. Perhaps somebody that knows this league etc. Carries on like this he has to be out by Christmas.

In all honesty can anyone actually say they have seen even the slightest bit of improvement from the squad?

When we dominate possession it is only in midfield and there is never anything gained from it.
Shots at goal are woefully low and I’m sorry to say but NC’s post match interviews sound like a stuck record.

He needs to be honest with himself and us supporters and if a display is dire and not acceptable then say it. And what about lack of discipline with players getting sent off?
He never mentions it when lots of managers would be furious.

He may be an excellent coach at developing academy players but sadly it looks like this is out of his depth.

I would love to be proved wrong and he succeeds but even with my optimism I have seen nothing to evidence that it will.

I advocated 10 games at the start which we reach on Saturday playing the bottom team so it will be interesting to see the response should we have another nightmare result.

Who knows, we may win and start a winning streak !

I'm pretty sure someone from upstairs will have had words with him & asked how he intends to correct the current situation, I'm sure I would have done that. As we are not party to all these conversations it's hard to speculate. I do doubt he's been given an ultimatum so soon, but perhaps the suggestion of an experienced No.2 should things not improve before Christmas is my best guess. Personally given the influx of players in last January I think Sadler may still think he acted a little fast in sacking Larry & with that in mind will be more patient this time.
That's a long winded "in" at the moment.

I am standing in the "he needs more time" camp at the moment. The Wigan/Burton games could be the final nail(s) in the coffin however.

Have no animosity toward critchley
And was very much behind his appointment
But for a guy who had such a strong belief in his system he seems to have given up on it very quickly
As said by others spending years coaching u23 teams has had no bearing on so called men's football in league one
Chopping and changing every game can be like throwing a dart blindfold and hoping to score big
I can't see the logic in changing a winning team by that many players
I really want him to succeed but to me at the moment he looks lost and dare I say defeated
For his sake we need someone in his ear that has league experience and fast
Because I just can't see how he turns it around from here
And as for the disciplinary record....
