Agreed, but I believe Thorniley is rumoured to be talking with Bristol City isn't he? ( apologies if already posted).Get thorniley and Nelson signed up soon as if possible, would be brilliant in league 1

What's the point of receiving 2 million if we are left with no one to score goals. We can't replace Jerry's quality for 2 millionAt the end of the season, I always look forward to seeing who we're releasing.
I have to say after this horrendous season, that I'm not bothered about most of them.
We need to recruit several combative, ball playing, leaders, both at the back & in midfield. Jerry will leave (to Rangers for about £2m?) & he will be hard to replace, as good strikers are a rare breed.
but the lack of investing in a couple of quality first team players has ultimately cost us possibly upwards of £10million+ in lost revenue next season with the new tv deal and lower attendances etcI am not being critical of your post as I both understand and agree with your point about re-investing players sold into the team, this would make the “Product Offer” more appealing and “should” increase attendances by playing more attractive football…..HYPOTHESIS
The problem is too many of The Fylde Coast’s Population are either individually “financially unable” or as in most cases “financially inwilling” to support Championship Football.
Therefore our “”Custodian” has to take the transfer money to help “balance the books” on a day to day basis or we would not have league football in the town at all…REALITY
Having fought hard and made sacrifices alongside many thousands of other NAPMers to get an owner like we now have, I am personally sickened by the “toys out of the pram” attitude some Poolsters have demonstrated in certain posts on this Forum recently.
We came up as a division 1 club and the towns population, whether due to “financial inability” or…..as in most cases ”financially unwillingness” have failed to move the club up to a Championship set up, so we are therefore returning to our current rightful place division 1.
I’ll certainly be getting my Season Ticket for next season as soon as they are on sale, whilst I’m sure most existing ST holders will follow suit, it’s the “One Game Johnny’s” that need to start buying Season Tickets too!
I respect some people may not be financially able to do so due to “economic impracticality” but they are very much a minority.
By buying an ST you will be paying around £14 a game.
I do believe Five Game Book Vouchers that can be exchanged for any match throughout the season should also be available for £100.
Obviously with these vouchers you are not guaranteed the same seat every game……a benefit ST holders only should enjoy.
Individual match tickets should be £28 so we can charge away fans that too, to generate more income into the club.
We ALL have our part to play in taking the club forward!!!
Only My Opinions,
Ashley
No there were article's about a young central defender, but then it all went quiet. The insult to Andy Lyons.
We have that centre back.As much as I like Thornley, he will go to pastures new for the money & a signing on fee. We need to identify a big experienced CB
who will command his area like Ekpiteta does and influence his teamates just like Keogh did. With Tharme or Casey included in a match day
squad of 18, this would be the best option. The same apply's to the midfield with someone like Oliver Norburn if he still wants to move back North ? IMO.
Our midfield got ripped apart, was that solely down to Patino or Fiorini?Don't get the clamour for Casey or Tharme or Owen Dale for that matter. If we're looking to go up, surely we can do better than two defenders who were part of teams regularly ripped apart in League 1 and the other being eventually dropped to the bench at Portsmouth. We'll be bringing back Charlie Kirk next.
I fully agree. I'd also be concerned that it be used to run the club & won't be spent of buying contracted players in the same way as the money from Josh, Critchley & Richard. What's the point of receiving 2 million if we are left with no one to score goals.
