... an unthinkable, improbable, unlikely sequence of results find us one tie away from our second home, would the NC doubters relent and support his continued tenure of role of head coach?
After all, two playoff appearances and one consolidatory Championship season in three campaigns (admittedly with a break) doesn't appear a bad return, now does it?

Going to answer this in a realistic way more than an opinionated way, as I’ve felt like he should be given time, but also thought his race was run pre-latest set of results.

I think it’s a case of we all need to back him now, as he’ll be here for at least the start of next season. See what comes of the first 5/10 games or so and re-evaluate.

Critch may have his shortcomings but he can 100% get us promoted.

I understand your hypothetical question and my stance is:
Like his style of management or not, NC is here for his contracted 4 years unless SS says differently.
No intelligent supporter supports a clubs manager, they support their team. Owners, managers & players come and go, the only consistent is the supporters.
If NC let our players play like they did for 70 minutes yesterday, then he'd have far more admirers.
Those you title the 'NC doubters' only doubt him because of the well documented frustrations he's caused supporters this season.
With our squad, we should have finished the season comfortably in the play-off's, if not the top 2.

The question should be , if Critchley gets us up ,is he willing to change his tactics , because it does not matter what division you are in , you are paying to be entertained and for most of this season he has failed to do this.

From your opening line it seems like it it will take a miracle to make Play Offs!
Yes the odds are against us but it’s recently changed from extremely unlikely to strong possibility.
Providing we win we have a 50/50 chance.

I remember Walsall in 1991 when we only needed a point to go up. They were a mid table side and nothing to Play for.
We bottled it. Similar in 1996 where they did us again.

Have faith.
