Incident on back henry street

Really unsavoury incident on BHS tonight with a boro fan doing some sort of roundhouse kick on a Blackpool fan who was with his elderly mum. Completely unprovoked and looked in a bad way, totally out of order and a lot of other boro fans agreed. Police got the culprit straight away, bit disappointed the time it was taking to get an ambulance or paramedic when there must have been some working in the ground? Hope the guy is ok and makes a speedy recovery.

Sad ! Remember going to Middlesbrough on a Friday night early 70’s. Horrible fans ( not all of them obviously) but remember a young Downs Syndrome Blackpool lad attacked by several 30/40 year olds. 😢

Two seasons ago some well known muckers were offering out AFC Wimbledon fans after we’d beaten them, for no apparent reason. Knuckle draggers are everywhere
Remember that incident, about 30 B/pool onto about 10 of them who were minding their own business. If I remember correctly one of them had been moaning for some time about injustice but was the main instigator when he had a load of lads around him.

It was due to an incident earlier in the day.

Was there that night,1973 just about got away with our lives as the Ayresome Angels encircled us at the final whistle, fortunately the cops moved in, scary away ground back then!

Pathetic. If fighting at football matches, especially against people who aren't reciprocating, is your thing, then you have categorically failed in life IMO. We don't want them at our club that's for sure.

And you're probably compensating for something too...

As above, hope the victim is ok.

Well hopefully the perpurtrator will either a) go to prison as he’s likely to have a record already &/b) be banned from all grounds forever and a day (Sine Die)

ridiculous AND just don’t get involved and keep away from idiots even our own !

Ayresome away was a formidable place to visit.

- in the same fixture there were some very lively exchanges on BHS back in the day between consenting fans - in fact we were just moving into a new astrological cycle if I’m not mistaken - think it was March 21 1987 ... incident covered to some degree on pages 104-106 of the Boro book Frontline by John Theone.

Worked with loads of Boro fans, always angry and seem to think they are the hardest lads in the world. Don’t know what it is, similar with the makems.

If it was genuinely a roundhouse kick that would suggest he'd had some form of combat training in order to do that and put someone in a bad way with it

Leathering some stranger goes against what your taught at every gym/dojo so if that part is true it makes this geezer double the **. Hope the fella on the receiving end is alright!
