Goode and Trybull both knackered for 10-12 weeks.

Bridcutt picked up another injury!

Marv is on track to be back in a couple of weeks.

Jerry a doubt for this weekend.

When will this misery end. 😔

Bridcutt FFS 🤣

Our worst ever signing?

Where’s his partner in crime Stewart or has he been forgotten about already?

The recruitment has been bloody shite let's be honest!!!
The Colby Bishop deal falling through still boils my piss!! What was that all about?? It would have been interesting to see how Appleton would have done had we pushed the boat out for Brannagan or Barlaser instead of Bridcutt & Ward.
The Callum Wright transfer was a farce aswell.

No boats were pushed out for Ward. He was the economic migrant in his own small boat just hanging about the place looking for employment that we turned to in the absence of literally anyone else.

Disappointing news about Charlie Goode and Tom Trybull! 😔

Both good players that could have helped us massively, but it seems they're more or less done for the season.

It's been one thing after another all year, we never seem to get any breaks.

Just have to keep going and pray we can do enough stay up by at least one point!!!

Then they will all want to leave as they are "championship" experienced quality players

& the merry go round starts again...

Cutting all the jokes out. Whoever is identified as having the greatest input on last summers transfers wants rooting out and sacking. How much money has their dallying cost? Wages of Ward, Bridcutt and Tyebull at least. How can SS even contemplate keeping some one who has directly cost 10k a week on wastage, not to mention the cost or relegation.

GET THE BASTARD SACKED!!!

Trybull and Goode out for the season. You couldn't write this stuff 🤣 Unbelievable.

Was super confident in Jan about staying up, am an uber-optimist btw🧐.

Hmmm...However...

Give a dog a bone for christ sakes! Woof🤬

Eeee that means Dougall, Fiorini, Carey and Patino as our only fit central midfielders. Still think we might as well through Connolly in there with a captains band on

Personally I'd give Jerry a rest this weekend even if he wants/is able to play, we might just avoid knackering him for the rest of the season.

I think we signed Trybull for 18 months so he's here for a longer term, Stewart and Bridcutt might as well have their contracts paid up, I doubt we'll see either of them in tangerine again.

It's not a shock though is it?

They were both injury prone when we signed them, that's where we shop and we need to change our shopping habits sharpesh

It's like shopping on the out of date ailes and moaning when the Chicken you bought and forgot about for a few days gives you the shits

Marv an emergency centre forward the rest of them we can forget about.

We signed one central midfielder in the January window when it’s been a problem since Ryan Wintle left a year ago.

Fuckin shocking.

Trybull was obviously a shout from the new recruitment team but his record didn’t stack up for the amount of games we needed. I don’t even think he was anything special, just a body to be in midfield to protect.

Way short in that area and it’s costs us and will continue to.

Criminal recruitment.

We’re paying out hefty wages on this not happening too. Some restructuring is needed asap.

Unfortunately Trybull is just more of the same…

Hopefully it’s been an eye opener and a lesson learned, because we’ve essentially repeated the same mistake over and over.

False economy!

It’s piss poor especially when the bloke heading it up who’s at the centre of it all is being paid like he is.

Would rather we spent his wage on a midfielder.

Great post. Just to add, The cost is massive, as the board's ineptitude will directly result in our relegation and all the finance that goes with it.
Pathetic doesn't even start to describe things.

I feel for SS this season to be honest. It can be a tough gig owning a football club, it’s a massive responsibility and it’s obviously cost a lot of money just to put the club back on a normal footing.

The recruitment situation has really let him down though….

I’m exactly the same.

He’s put his trust and money into people who’ve been pretty shite in this past 12 months.

I think he openly admitted he didn’t know how to run a football club etc.

That’s where he’s had to rely on others who’ve flopped on their lard arses.

Have you got any good news?

Trybull, another known crock, seriously why is Bullshit still here? Just fuck off, clear out the umpteen crocks, get a new CEO in and just sell the ** club, Jeez! If you go over the signings of the last 18 months you have see the common denominator?

I wonder if the structured dialogue meeting will be open or will it be political non answer bullshit. You never know he may stand up and say he’s packing in. You can but dream.

What a nightmare.

Fact is though, we are completely incapable of signing championship quality players due to wages, last year we we tried to pick up league one players for $200-300k and 5k a week like Dale, Beesley, Kirk and that failed so we abandoned that and went with the only other option in that price-range, players who could theoretically play in this division if their legs weren't made of plywood.

We were relying on 1-2 of them coming good along with a few of the loans and we've failed on both fronts.

I'm happy enough for Sadler to stay, although I'm sure with Covid and Critchley, he's learned some hard lessons financially over the last few of seasons.
He needs to have a proper clear out and get some proper experience in place to sort out where we're going. Bullshit needs to be first out of the door, the failures in the transfer windows and utter shite managerial appointments has lead to where we are today.

"How not to run a football club"

Sounds like it could be a half decent idea for a book
Or a musical🤣

But seriously..

I am not one to go round looking for blame every time something doesn’t go my way, but…No matter how you cut it there is something fundamentally wrong with how we have got to this situation. The injuries alone have been unbelievable - has nobody done any analysis to work out what the root cause is (I know - the training facilities cannot be helping). Recruitment has been plain wrong - playing and coaching. These are fundamentals for a top flight league. The people at the top need to have long hard look at themselves (and each other) and commit to making whatever changes are necessary. Keep sacking coaches when the club structures which support the fundamental outputs are failing is frankly delusional.

All that said, these issues are not the players doing (nor MM actually - there are other issues )team selection) that he has to address. So we get behind the team and cheer on to the end.

The injury situation, especially hamstrings, is baffling.
It's not the training ground, as that's far better now than it has been for the last 100 years!
Do we have sports scientists on the staff? Is the physio(s) up to the task (since Phil Horner left)? Is it just BFC or is there a trend across other clubs?
The recruitment has to be a major factor, as old players & players who haven't played regularly or have a history of hamstring or similar injuries, will always carry a risk of injury. The recruiting team & BM must shoulder the blame for this.
On top of injuries, this season we've got the atrocious disciplinary record - why? It's not as if we have the reputation of being a hard tackling, stick it up em Pike, type of team. That's down to the individual players (often chasing the ball, as they're not good enough for the championship / frustrated at the lack of victories (Gaz!) ) & the coaches.
Finally there's the one after another terrible managerial appointments & that's down to SS & the board.
The club has many, many questions to answer and if (when) we go down, they've got serious improvements to make - with less money available.
Let's 'come out swinging' for the final games and at least go down fighting.
UTMP - fight to the death.

I think players are such fine tuned athletes these days that every muscle, ligament, soft tissue is honed to breaking point.

We never got these problems when players were smoking 20 a day, having a beer and a pie before kick off. Jumpers for goalposts, eh?

Pretty much exactly this . A fitness guy told me they are trained to a level where there is no slack left . Our lads are having to work so hard trying to compete something has to give . And it’s usually a hamstring.
